Some people think women can only rise by trampling men.

In fact, when women rise, they lift everyone. Organizations get better. Society gets better.
Here’s one small example: a study of mortality after heart attack. Women patients treated by men do worse than women patients treated by women. pnas.org/content/115/34…
But what happens with increased proportion of women physicians? Everyone performs better in terms of survival of their patients... ESPECIALLY THE MEN. The presence of female peers appears to bring in a positive element to the male physicians’ practice.
Don’t let people treat this as a zero sum game. EVERYONE has a stake in increased equity.
