In 2013, I joined Twitter and hardly ever tweeted until after the 2016 Election, when I immediately joined #TheResistance to protest Trump. In 2018, I still fight to improve America. However, this year the #GenderCritical Resistance has had more meaning for me.
You see, I’m a lesbian, a female homosexual. In 2018, most LGBTQ+ media and organizations are against homosexual rights and dignity. They actually aim to erase anyone who isn’t pansexual, which would straighten out the rainbow. This is a conversion therapist’s wet dream.
American VP Mike Pence would be proud of the new brand of conversion therapy on the Left, which seeks to violate the boundaries of homosexuals and women. But this is much bigger than America. It’s a global problem that liberal parties are promoting. Why?
The short answer is money. Other people just want to be liked and get their “woke points.” This is why critical thinking is so important. I used to be like those people. I assumed all my party leaders and influencers were looking out for us. But that’s not always the case!
I’m a Democrat, left of center. I was raised by Southern Baptist evangelicals who support the Republican Party. In 2016, I was an elected delegate for Hillary Clinton in the first two rounds of Washington State’s caucus. So, I’m definitely not a right winger.
I believe in science and women’s rights; I believe it’s OK to be gay. Unfortunately, most liberal political parties worldwide are against homosexual rights and women’s rights. They’ve been bought off, and the voters blindly follow without questioning any of it.
It’s time to think critically about everything, but the attempted erasure of sex, a protected legal class, should sound all the alarms internationally. This is huge, y’all. The community best described as “gender critical” is neither conservative nor liberal. We’re everywhere.
I’m working with activists globally to stand up for women. Many fellow Democrats have started to question the extremism of a small but heavily financed group that harms trans rights by making unreasonable and illegal demands in their name.
Every day, more people are waking up to the assault on reality, the attack on women’s and homosexual’s sex-based rights. My gay community earned our rights by coming out and having difficult conversations with our friends, families, and peers. Now we’re coming out again.
Social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook have recently ramped up banning women and homosexuals from speaking about our rights and our reality. This is sex-based discrimination, which violates these platforms’ own TOS. It’s so obviously wrong.
A lot is going on right now, but I want y’all to know that people are actually establishing new organizations to fight and replace the corrupted ones. I also strongly believe it’s time to take legal action in some of our countries.
Know that you’re not alone. Your anger, confusion, and pain at the same old misogyny and homophobia being rebranded as “progress” is valid. People all over the world care. Together we’re succeeding. Keep waking people up. Y’all inspire me. I believe that reason will win. 💪
