Nancy Pelosi is 78 = 1-1/2 years older than Bernie. She's up for SOTH.
Dianne Feinstein is 85 = 8 years older than Bernie. She was re-elected and will be 91 when her term ends.
Their age related to being able to serve office has not been a factor.
Which side can win over Independents (51% of electorate), rural voters, and those who feel marginalized?
Bernie won these voters in 2016.
In 2016, Bernie got more Millennial votes than Trump + HRC put together. In primaries, he got 80%+ of the Millennial vote in many states.
Policy matters to them more than age.
The new ideas ARE Bernie's platform:
✅ $15 Minimum wage
✅ Tuition-free college
✅ Green New Deal
✅ $1 trillion infrastructure plan

Like Bernie but younger + more centrist
Like Bernie but younger + a woman of color
Like Bernie but younger + not Bernie
ie. In CA, Bernie Sanders delegates took over 1/2 of the state Dem party so going into 2020 the establishment cannot pull stunts like it did in 2016.
The candidate to get the 2020 Dem nomination will need to be able to raise at minimum $100+ million by January 1, 2020. Why?
CA has the most delegate votes out of all the primaries amounting to 20% of delegates needed to clinch the nomination, and Texas is 3rd.
Ground game is crucial when 10 states do their primary on the same day especially now since CA is involved.
Bernie Sanders has powerful ground game in CA + he can get 25K people to show up for a rally in 48-hour notice.
Having a POTUS who is trusted will be MUCH welcomed and needed following 45. #Bernie2020
