Folks my book is done. I am excited about it. It really captures the soap opera of this past year. The stories. The characters. The heroes.
Heroine of the book? @SaRaAshcraft

Also @LaTanster @benszemkus #QAnon #Kavanaugh @ChuckGrassley & of course @therealroseanne!!!!

It’s got research, but it’s not about research.
It’s about cognitively processing & emotionally surviving the storm.

Got 2 do proposal now.
Just to clarify - the book doesn’t have any secret info or anything - I just went back over a year of writing and reflected on it, updated it, etc.
The first version of the book was totally about Kavanaugh and Ford. But it sucked because at the end of the day I saw her as a trauma victim and couldn’t really “go there.”
And I was editing and editing and no matter what, not only did it suck but it didn’t sound like me anymore.
So I wrote to my editor and said I can’t do this. I have a vision for something totally else, this isn’t working.
She surprised me by agreeing and in a week or two it just clicked.
We, as a community, have been through something here.

We came to this space and we have all in some way been transformed.
I have cried this year. Laughed this year. Stayed up all night writing to @ChuckGrassley and reading @therealroseanne at 2 am before she got fired from the show.
Anyway. I can’t really say this the right way. But I have sort of found myself this year, even though it all seemed so crazy.
