#AfriForum's Ernst Roets has a dishonest "fact check" regarding what he calls "Fake News," or what I call an accurate critique of his white nationalist politics. I only want to point out a couple of issues:
Roets says: "AfriForum does not believe that there is a white genocide happening in South Africa." It's true that they are more careful than they used to be (see FIFA video), but also, here's Roets sharing alt-right propaganda videos about "white genocide."
Roets says that #AfriForum condemns the alt-right and doesn't want to be associated with those kinds of individuals. Oh, you mean like Steve Hofmeyr, you frequently talks about "white genocide," the benefits of apartheid, and retweets literal Nazis?
Why does #AfriForum's Ernst Roets repeatedly promote Willem Petzer, who believes that the international opposition to apartheid was a Jewish conspiracy, and who was exposed for racist memes?
If #AfriForum condemns the alt-right, then why has Ernst Roets appeared *twice* on the alt-right podcast of Stefan Molyneux, who promotes racist IQ theories and says that IQ differences justified apartheid?
If #AfriForum condemns the alt-right and 'white genocide' nonsense, why is Ernst Roets so close to white supremacist Katie Hopkins (both appearing in her movie about 'white genocide' and then calling it 'brilliant')?
#AfriForum's appeals to be 'moderate' would be more convincing if they did not continue to associate with extremists. I wrote about some of these connections: 1) africasacountry.com/2018/05/flight…; 2) africasacountry.com/2018/09/the-fo…
#AfriForum's Ernst Roets is upset that reporters don't get his "nuance" on farm murders, but if he doesn't want to be associated with ideas of 'white genocide' and 'ethnic cleansing' he should stop associating with and promoting racists who use those terms
