There are literally 10x as many self-described "radicals" as conservatives. 40x as many on left as cons.
Does this affect their scholarship? Duh. The radicals welcome activism-infused scholarship. If they embrace being a political action group, why would anyone have qualms treating them like a political action group...????
This table breaks down support for science vs. advocacy in the type of sociology the respondents engaged in. What a shock that intersectional sociologists embrace activism and rational choice sociologists embrace intellectual diversity , and (attempts at) objectivity.
In this context, it is worth noting that the most vicious critics of #noahcarl's research have been folks: 1. without phds; 2. with degrees in *humanities*; or 3. intersectional/PoMo type sociologists.

I have yet to discover a single psych or quant sociologist join the mob.
