#TuesdayThoughts: I wasn't able to be as productive as I wanted to be this year given an (often-ass-kicking) autoimmune disorder, but here's a thread of a few highlights.

As always, I remain so grateful to you all for your continued support.❤️
First, I am very proud of co-editing, with @m_hild, Reconsidering Southern Labor History: Race, Class, and Power. We had perceptive, brilliant scholars contributing essays on a wide variety of topics. Look for the paperback release in 2019!…
Second, was absolutely honored to be asked to write a piece commemorating the life and legacy of #MartinLutherKing #MLK for the National Civil Rights Museum. I chose to write about #poverty and the #PoorPeoplesCampaign:…
Third, I began writing a few historical pieces for @BitterSouth, beginning with this one on economic #class and #segregation:…
You can see the trajectory - over the summer I was pulled back into activism & state #politics, my first love:…
After going after #BrianKemp in #Georgia, I then turned to the disturbing Senate race in #Mississippi with #CindyHydeSmith:…
Sixth, I'm *still* working with local cities and towns to try and get rid of these odious #ConfederateMonuments. With the help of @JuliaGaffield, last year I wrote up the racist history of #Decatur, GA's memorial to white supremacy:…
Seventh - along these lines, have met an inspiring group of activist-scholars, and penned the Foreword to this wonderful book by @wihorne and @nwuertenberg:…
In between all of this I've found a bit of time to continue researching one of the most fascinating (but still unknown!) figures in US history, Aaron Alpeoria Bradley:…
Ninth, served on the Herbert Gutman dissertation award committee & was inspired by incredible work from young scholars like @NickJuravich & @AlexJFinley. Likewise, in helping w the @SouthernLaborSA conference in Athens, GA, it was awesome to hear of all the NEW labor history.
Tenth, was floored to hear this fall that #MasterlessMen won the 2018 Bennett H. Wall Award, from @TheSouthernSHA, for the best book published in the previous two years on southern business or economic history.
...and was co-winner of the 2018 President’s Book Award, from the Social Science History Association, awarded annually to a first work by an early-career scholar.…
Have recently begun recording the audiobook version of #MasterlessMen (yes, *I'm* doing the reading!), and it should be available in the early New Year!!!🎉🍾🥳

(more to come later, gotta run!)…
