Unpopular Opinion:
You should always offer to pay your friends full price for their services.
You are paying for the assurance that they will treat you right..... not the value of the service itself.

Paying strangers full price and haggling our friends is ridiculous
What if your friend insists on giving you a discount?

Graciously accept the discount but always offer to pay your friends full price.

In this scenario, it’s truly the thought that counts.
What if your friend insists on not allowing you to pay at all?

Accept the gift.
Offer to pay for the cost of materials/parts.

Give them a great testimonial on social media/LinkedIn
Send your buddy additional business through referrals.
When doing business with friends, there are currencies that are just as valuable as cold hard cash.


All 4 of these lead to increased credibility and warm business leads.
