So..

I want football to be responsible for cleaning up the mess it creates by the Shite financial structure it is responsible for. By football I mean @FA @premierleague and @EFL

I want a fund created so that football pays for the problems it has caused.
This will not be popular to the super gods but I’m saying the gaps in finances between levels in the pyramid, are too severe and too damaging.

These gaps are being funded by mug owners, who are using private cash in an attempt to try to create a more level playing field.
The current situation is that, when mug owners walk away, when they realise that it’s futile, they go rogue.

Year on year, the football financing formula exacerbates this problem.

COMMUNITIES are left to pick up the pieces.

Many clubs go into free fall down through the pyramid
I’ll give examples:

A non league club with a 3G pitch (because it’s more affordable) is forced to switch to a grass pitch on winning promotion, OR IT ISNT ALLOWED into @EFL

So it borrows money from a ‘wealthy owner’ because on promotion the club is £1m better off in..
..@SkyBetLeagueTwo
It’s spent that before it even got into the league on facilities and floodlights etc.

(We’ve been in the football league since 2006 and still aren’t up to scratch.)

Back to the story..

The non league club goes back down, because it has no cash.
It spent its cash on facilities to get in @EFL

Now the club is back in non league, with no cash and a stadium that costs 5 times as much to maintain.

The owner gets pissed off because they had a stable club, damaged by being forced to spend money it didn’t have.
They walk away, communities are left holding the baby.

This non league club should have been granted the funds to get up to speed for #EFL entry, from the new pot I’m proposing. That’s my view.
Another example:

A club in @SkyBetLeagueOne (for arguments sake, let’s call them @leytonorientfc )

They’re flying, on the cusp of promotion to @SkyBetChamp and the owner goes for it. He’s encouraged to go for it by the Shite financial structure. Success generates..
..£10m a year, it has to be worth a punt. Manager, players, fans cheer him on. If only we had a couple more players...
@EFL rules allow every club to gamble what they want.

If he doesn’t gamble, he’s at a disadvantage.

He increases the cost base and just misses out.
Like the non league club, his gamble has risked the club.

He thinks, f*** this for a game of soldiers.

I now have a club with a cost base, that unless we get promoted next year, will cost me millions.

He can’t do anything in this trap. His only way out is administration..
...or disappearing and saying ‘Ciao amico mio.’

But the rules of the pyramid allowed him to damage the COMMUNITIES club.

@EFL don’t even have the powers to intervene in the problem they allowed to happen.

This mess IS the responsibility of FOOTBALL.

It should pick up..
..the tab and return the club to a community board. It SHOULD not sit back and ignore fans marching with placards because it’s THE FANS club that was damaged.

If football picks up the bill for problems cause by it’s bad rules, it might change them.
Why should communities suffer?

I want a football fund setting up from TV cash from @premierleague @EFL to be used to administer clubs that fail because of their Shite rules.

They have caused the problem, they should suffer the consequences.

Community clubs should..
..never be threatened by success 🙃

The cost to the fund will reduced by improvements to the pyramid.

Those causing the problem, paying for the damage.

An end to the disconnect, whereby those causing the problem leave the wreckage to communities.
Done properly community clubs can rebuild. Look what the community have done @officialpompey

Deliver failing clubs back to their community and help them set a base.

Have powers to end contracts and reduce costs.

Make a pyramid where a clubs can move up and down..
..on ability, not just cash.

Show supporters their club is important and we give a shit about communities.

Fans parading up and down with placards aren’t the problem.

They’re telling us, we have it wrong.

ITS THEIR CLUB THAT HAS BEEN DAMAGED

Millionaires come and go.
Communities don’t.

Good morning BTW.
