These gaps are being funded by mug owners, who are using private cash in an attempt to try to create a more level playing field.
Year on year, the football financing formula exacerbates this problem.
COMMUNITIES are left to pick up the pieces.
Many clubs go into free fall down through the pyramid
A non league club with a 3G pitch (because it’s more affordable) is forced to switch to a grass pitch on winning promotion, OR IT ISNT ALLOWED into @EFL
So it borrows money from a ‘wealthy owner’ because on promotion the club is £1m better off in..
It’s spent that before it even got into the league on facilities and floodlights etc.
(We’ve been in the football league since 2006 and still aren’t up to scratch.)
Back to the story..
The non league club goes back down, because it has no cash.
Now the club is back in non league, with no cash and a stadium that costs 5 times as much to maintain.
The owner gets pissed off because they had a stable club, damaged by being forced to spend money it didn’t have.
This non league club should have been granted the funds to get up to speed for #EFL entry, from the new pot I’m proposing. That’s my view.
@EFL rules allow every club to gamble what they want.
If he doesn’t gamble, he’s at a disadvantage.
He increases the cost base and just misses out.
He thinks, f*** this for a game of soldiers.
I now have a club with a cost base, that unless we get promoted next year, will cost me millions.
He can’t do anything in this trap. His only way out is administration..
But the rules of the pyramid allowed him to damage the COMMUNITIES club.
@EFL don’t even have the powers to intervene in the problem they allowed to happen.
This mess IS the responsibility of FOOTBALL.
It should pick up..
If football picks up the bill for problems cause by it’s bad rules, it might change them.
The cost to the fund will reduced by improvements to the pyramid.
Those causing the problem, paying for the damage.
An end to the disconnect, whereby those causing the problem leave the wreckage to communities.
Deliver failing clubs back to their community and help them set a base.
Have powers to end contracts and reduce costs.
Make a pyramid where a clubs can move up and down..
Show supporters their club is important and we give a shit about communities.
Fans parading up and down with placards aren’t the problem.
They’re telling us, we have it wrong.
ITS THEIR CLUB THAT HAS BEEN DAMAGED
Millionaires come and go.
Good morning BTW.
