#Baptism_of_Desire
The #Council_of_Trent teaches that both, the laver of regeneration and desire, together, are mandatory. Once again, the Council of Trent teaches that hope and charity, together, are mandatory. Desire alone, is profitless and dead.
Charity defined, is the [laver of regeneration].

Pope Innocent IV, Council of Lyons I, March 6, 1254: …the souls of children [after] the [cleansing of baptism], and of adults [also] who depart [in charity] ---
--- and who are bound neither by sin nor unto any satisfaction for sin, [at once pass quickly to their eternal fatherland].” (Denz. 457)
1917 PIO-BEN. Code of Canon Law
Canon 737 § 1. Baptism, the gateway and foundation of the Sacrament, actually or at least in desire is necessary for all for salvation [and is not validly conferred except by washing with true and natural water]...
Pope Eugene IV, Council of Florence, Session 11, Feb. 4, 1442, “Cantate Domino”:
“With regard to children, since the danger of death is often present and [the only remedy] available to them ---
--- is the [sacrament of baptism] by which they are snatched away from the dominion of the devil and adopted as children of God ...
Titus 3:4-5 But when the goodness and kindness [charity] of God our Saviour appeared: …he saved us, [by the laver of regeneration], and renovation of the Holy Ghost;
Desire is defined as Hope.

Proverbs 13:12 [Hope] that is deferred afflicteth the soul: [desire] when it cometh is a tree of life.
The [thing] desired when it cometh, is the tree of life; water baptism.
The Council of Trent [commands] that [both] [Hope and Charity] must be added together, infused at once, otherwise faith cannot bestow.
The Council of Trent Sess. VI, ch. IV
And this translation, since the promulgation of the Gospel, [cannot be effected, without the laver of regeneration, or the desire thereof], as it is written; [unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Ghost], ---
--- he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.

The Council of Trent Sess. VI, ch. VII
…in the said justification, together with the remission of sins, all these (gifts) infused at once, faith, [hope, and charity]. ---
--- For faith, unless [hope and charity] be added thereto, neither unites man perfectly with Christ, nor makes him a living member of His body. For which reason it is most truly said, that Faith without works is dead and profitless; ...but faith which worketh by [charity]. ---
--- [This faith], Catechumen's [beg] of the Church-agreeably to a tradition of the apostles-previously to the sacrament of Baptism; when they beg for the faith which bestows life everlasting, which, without [hope and charity], [faith cannot bestow]:
Pope Clement V Council of Vienne 1311-1312 Decrees
1. …We believe that when baptism is administered in water in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy Spirit, it is a perfect means of salvation for both adults and children.
