Are you a young buck with a brand new social media account & biz, hoping to be a full time self employed internet person?

A few helpful things that you may find useful.

I was once in your shoes.

Full time job I didn't like.

Wanted out.

And I got out.

So here goes:
First, realize that this is going to take some time.

A lot of time. And effort. And hard work.

It may not pay off in a massive, 7 figure buy out one day.

In fact, it likely won't.

But most of those I know who started when I did (2013) and stuck with it are 100% self employed
First - do not start a site, and instantly sell shit.

Why would anyone buy something from you (assuming you're not a DS-er)?

You have to establish yourself first.

Content, content, content - build up a fan base and let people get to know you.
I started my blog in May 2013.

I coached friends for free and wrote 2 articles every week for 5 straight months.

Oh, and this next one is good, too.....
Every single article I thought to myself:

"How can I teach others to get in better shape? What struggles do they have? What struggles did I have? How can I relate to them and help them?"

Value, value, value, value, value.
After a small handful of people began to follow me, I reached out.

Hadn't made a dime yet - it was 2 months into my blog.

I asked them if they wanted 100% FREE coaching in exchange for a testimonial at the end of the 12 weeks.

No money exchanged.

Just good will.
I worked my ass off that summer. Coaching people for free. Writing for free. Running social media for free. I had less than 100 FB Biz likes and 100 Twitter followers at the time.

But I was PASSIONATE about helping others.

For FREE.
I just wrote and wrote and wrote. Every chance I got.

And I spoke just like them.

Because I WAS just like them.

A normal dad with 2 kids who went from fat to fit while working a full time job.

Key point: I was RELATABLE, nice, helpful, and knowledgeable.
I wasn't cocky, brash, rude, or in your face.

I didn't act like I knew everything.

Because I DIDN'T!

I see so many 25 year olds jump on the internet and think they know everything.

These kids haven't even had an actual career, and they're positioning themselves as experts.
After 5 months worth of work, hundreds of hours of coaching others (for free), hundreds of hours of writing (for free), etc.... I finally put my email on my site.

Within a few weeks, I had my first real client.

$149 for a 12 week program.

But you know what?
Even though my hourly rate was probably about $0.50 an hour for all that work to add up to $149 TOTAL...... I was profitable.

THAT is the power of the internet.

Provide value first.

The following and the money will come later.
I've always kept that in the forefront of my mind.

99% of those who benefit from following me pay me nothing.

And people forget that.

I've had over 3k people take my free challenges.

95% of them have never paid me a thing.
And that's OKAY - that's how it's SUPPOSED to be!

What are YOU doing to provide value?

You can't just sell, sell, sell, sell, if you're created zero good will.
To this day, I get messages from people who have lost insane amounts of weight and transformed themselves simply by following me.

Check this:
This girl joined my free Facebook Group 6 months ago.

Never paid me a cent.

She received guides, tutorials, workout plans, articles, advice, etc.

Watched my FB Live videos.

Asked questions.

And received kindness and answers.
Do you think others in the group (that she posted this in) will see this, say "Damn, this dude is really nice - he helped this girl lose 80+ pounds just out of the goodness of his heart"?

You better believe it.

Good will.

Value.

For nothing.
Good will gets paid forward.

Every time.

But you have to dish it out to receive it in return.

It's called reciprocity.

Go read "The Go Giver" by @BobBurg.

It's one of the first business books I ever read and it goes into this in detail.
Always give more in value than you take in compensation.

And if that compensation is nothing - most of the time - you will be amazed by what will happen to you.

Have a prosperous 2019, fam.

Edit - one more thing. Here's a small example of what I'm talking about.

Each of these items I COULD sell for $10 - 50 apiece.

You can have them.

4 different guides - one is legit a 45 page complete ebook with training, nutrition, and guidelines.

Oh, and do you want to take a 100% FREE 5-Day Challenge?

It runs on Facebook (sorry Twitter, come up with groups and I'll make one for here, lol).

✅✅ 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙞𝙢 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 [𝙁𝙍𝙀𝙀] 𝙎𝙥𝙤𝙩 𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙚 👉(bit.ly/2ztSG8i)
Just a few small examples.

Out of every 100 people that grabs this free shit, MAYBE 4-5 will reciprocate.

The way it freaking SHOULD be.

Enjoy!
