I want to turn your attention to the #Balkans.

Tens of thousands are protesting in #Serbia for the fifth week in a row. Despite the snow and cold weather, despite the censorship in the country, the people want their voice to be heard. I hope the world takes a good look.
Publicly owned communications giant Telekom bought a private cable network Kopernikus (owned by a brother of a high ranking ruling party official) for €200m.

Money was then used to finance the acquisitin of the remaining two foreign owned TV stations with national frequency.
The reasons for the protest:

-wide scale censorship and media control
-beating of @BorkoStef, one of the opposition leaders with metal rods
-eroding democracy and freedom of elections
-shady negotiations with #Kosovo behind closed doors
The international press is largely ignoring the protests and thus focusing on #Hungary and #France.

The protests in #Serbia carry the same significance. Large proportions of the society disagree with the way our country is led.
Freedom of elections is in free fall.

@milos_agathon analysed the data in the region.
President Vucic dolls are appearing in the streets. You can buy them for 2.7 euros.
The city of Kragujevac is also alive. Several thousand there. #Serbia is waking up.
Novi Sad, second largest city in Serbia.
Third largest city in #Serbia, Niš. Protests are now in all large cities in the country. Big difference - last couple of weeks they were exclusive to Belgrade only.
