11 February 1990, the day uTata Nelson Mandela was released from Robben Island

...And the day i met Lerato Kganyago❤

#Thread
Begining of February 1990 the country became tense, we just heard that something big was about to happen.
I just got promoted to Senior Management at a Cotton Manufacturing company that made blankets for Robben Island Prisoners.
I was a top Dog at Work, they used to call me "Mnumzana", iSkhoko se Darkie..I was the only Black person who had acces to pairs of Scissors for cutting Blankets.
I Was living a lavish lifestyle even though other black people did not like me, they said i was a Mpimpi "traitor", after work I'd just lock myself up and play FIFA18 whole day. I was lonely af, didn't even have a girl😢
Besides all this my mind was trying hard to think about this big that was gonna happen....
Until this one night when i was watching the news i noticed the excitement in Noxolo Grootboom's eyes as she read the news, tears of joy as she said "uTata Nelson Mandela has been released from Robben Island"
"Mara why did they release him?😢,i just got a promotion at work😢can't they keep him a little longer?" I cried😢😢 i was worried i was gonna be equal with other Black People😢
11 February, he was released😢😢 Black People where celebrating and the country was Chaos, Metro Police worked overtime trying to control people.
Everyone was headed to Soccer City where the big announcement was gonna happen.
All Black South African Musicians were up on stage, abo Kwesta, abo Sjava, abo Casper, abo Siyabonga Nomvete. AKA showed off by letting his daughter "Kairo" sing Nkosi Sikelel'iAfrica.
As fun as it was, heads of states gave long and boring Speeches, i left in the middle of Barack Obama's Speech.
On my way home i saw this Beautiful young girl😍gwababa bafethu😭😭i didn't know of any pick up lines😭😭she looked so beautiful bafethu😍Lerato😍 5 foot 10 Catsuit and bambi eyes.
She left without saying a word😢😢😢😢i was angry at myself😢😢gwababa bafethu was real😢
The Following day i went to Maponya Mall to buy Tickets for Wafa Wafa game against Chippa United at the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium, while i was standing
In the queue i saw her walk up to the till with a trolley full on groceries.
My heart started beating 5000 ppm, fok i walked up to her and stood behind her.

"Hi I'm Taka Tina" i said

"Hi Taka Tina I'm Lerato", she responded with that beautiful smile.
I was still clueless about pick up lines, but i heard it's always wise to compliment a women.. "i like your shirt", i said. She was wearing a Pink T-Shirt written "Mo'ghel"
My Tswana wasn't good, but i tried to score myself some points by throwing a couple of words "ke itumela go go itse Lerato" Pleased to meet you😊
All was well until i asked her out on a date in Tswana, " na ke kopa otsamaya le wena ka ntlwana ya boithuselo"..She shouted at me and pushed me away, threatened to call the police.
I started thinking maybe her Father was a priest thats why she didn't want to go out with me😩

To be continued later today......right here
My whole life time was ruined in a second, i just messed up my chance with a spectacularly gorgeous black girl.
On the other hand i was worried what the gents at work would say if I'd actually get a chance to date Lerato, y'all know how Interracial relationships where regarded back then.
But i just had to risk it all, sisters was a grand daughter of a Chief of Matatiele " Tata uMakhaveli" bloodline of 2Pac Makaveli. Who wouldn't want to join the royal family.
February 14th "Valentine's" day, i never had much to do on Valentine's day since i was single, I'd just take my Plasma TV outside and let people watch Romantic Movies.
I was one of the few people who owned a TV back then, my yard was packed that night, we were watching Titanic.
She walked past my house,

Goddess 😍Beautiful in White😍

I ran up to her & asked her why she was so mad the other day ko Maponya mall.

"Never mind, it's all forgotten now" she said.

"Dipudi di jele mabele a ka mašemong " :- You look like an Angel Lerato i said
Bafethu yaphela igwababa, ngamshela uMadam😍

"Sela le ntliziyo yami Mnikazi we smile ebusweni bami Remote controller ye njabulo yami, oxygen yami Muntu omulhe o thandwa yi le ntliziyo, e lapha kimi Ngifuna i penne ne phepha, ngifuna uku ku balela i zulu love letter enga bori"
She melted bafethu 😊😍wangivuma bafethu😍🙏i gave her the remote to my TV, even though we only had one TV station but she was gonna be in charge of the Volume🎶, so people could see ukuthi ukhon'umadam la kimi😊🙌
Already had a present for her, a pair of Headphones🎧 ,she loved them so much that since that day she has never let them leave her sight, that's when she decided to become a DJ, an excuse to wear the headphones all the time.
After the 1994 elections we got married and i took early retirement from my Job, my bosses gave me a Chopper and a farm as a wedding present.

That's why i got a lot of money now.
