This fact is not accounted for by clicks or ratings.
60% of us are Democrats by belief if not by name.
The money media is not looking for profit. They are WITHOUT EXCEPTION owned by incredibly rich people who are the beneficiaries of the Republicoup
They could get more clicks and higher ratings playing to us. But what they do is, they feed us nibbles of fact buried in wagon-loads of innuendo, whataboutism - They don't have to "conspire."
They know which side their bread is buttered on.
It is extremely difficult to remain informed, because we are ABSOLUTELY BURIED IN NOISE and it all - almost every single word - has been approved by a billionaire.
And it's
I have about ten thousand readers here on Twitter. I have all these weird ideas, and express them comprehensibly, and about that many Americans are interested in them in some way.
I do what I do and think like I do largely because I try to consume only very limited person/hour
exposure to the advertising machinery.
Just lately they've started making my phone just spontaneously talk at me while I'm reading an article. I object strenuously.
Advertising works. On everyone.
What is the biggest money machine on earth?
I don't care who you are.
We are not magical beings.
We are evolved creatures. We evolved ways to learn. The advertising industry has literally hacked our genome. They can fill our reality with falsehood.
They do.
And in the money media, it is all advertising.
As a writer, I choose my words very carefully. I admit the following: I write as I do in the hope to make you sympathetic to some thought, some idea, some world view. I reread tweets, often change one word to improve impact. I use happy and comfortable words about simple living,
And I use snarkier and sharper words about lifestyles I do not like or approve of or whatever.
Don't we all? Things we love, we speak of those things lovingly.
Every word, word order - poisonous headlines are a favorite trick.
These days it has become common for people, individuals or groups, to just insult one another - make fun on one-toothed hillbillies, tangerine wankmaggots, and whatnot.

Individual-1 can't understand why people bitch at him for it. Everybody does it.
But it is easier to sway the views with tricks of focus, of connotation, of excerpt, of context.
Every single thing on television is an advertisement. Every single thing on television has been approved for your viewing pleasure by a billionaire.
Frankly, I don't think it matters one whit whether they conspire or not. They're all billionaires.
This is a problem.
It's why we invented NPR.
But the billionaires ate it.
It's a problem.
