Trip to @ManCity ‘s #Etihad last night observation (1): don’t try to reduce single use plastic by not having lids and straws & then decant drinks from single use 500ml plastic bottles into wax coated cups. Why not get soft drinks on tap? #reduceplastic#plasticwaste
Observation (2): train staff to tell customers you don’t have Coke. I’m allergic to sweeteners & if I hadn’t been watching, would have been given Coke Zero when I clearly asked for a Coke. No options other than water for people with allergies - disgraceful! #sugartax is an excuse
Observation (3): it clearly says on the ticket that persistent standing is not permitted yet those rules were never enforced, meaning a large number of people couldn’t see the first 1/3 of the pitch (18’ box) - why didn’t the stewards act?

I’m a large fat & really appreciate the amount of designers that are making my size available (60” bust).
I do also understand that it’s a lot of work grading, which is going to increase the revenue needed to cover those costs. 1/
@HunterHammersen On the upside, the larger size range expands the customer base, but that may not be enough & an increase in price might also be needed.
I am also of the opinion that designers sell their work too cheaply. I’m more thoughtful about my pattern purchases these days. 2/
@HunterHammersen I only buy patterns when I am about to make them (even if they means I miss out on a sale price - false economy after all).
