Most people, whether they call themselves believers or atheists, operate on the underlying belief that humans are special, created apart.
Some say we're above them and have the right to eat them. Some say we're above them and don't.
We're really not special. I mean, I think I'm special, and Chica thinks she's special, and Abe thinks he's special, because we are separate units of life.
I started as one cell. That cell was made of the living bodies of two humans, who were, as would I be in my journey, walking mud.
The one cell aquired some carbon from planet Earth, and
And with carbon DIRECTLY OUT OF THE EARTH, previously incarnated as bacteria, plants, animals, undoubtedly over the millions of years through other people, all part of this Earth
Because it was here when we evolved.
We're. Not. Special.
We mostly did that with antibiotics.
The bugs have just about outlived the antibiotics. Hang on to your hat.
We ain't special.
