<short thread> I’m loathe to give this guy any attention, but this is objectively false and not at all consistent with the evidence (h/t: @LorenRaeDeJ). Federal employees are politically representative of society, almost shockingly so. 1/7
In 2015, the Govt Business Council conducted a scientific poll of civilian fed workers. They built a list of employees using info from subscriptions to fed publications, randomly sampled from it & then ensured the sample matched known demographics. Not perfect, but good. 2/
They found federal that workers are politically representative of American society. Here’s the breakdown:

Federal employees:
23% Rep
39% Ind
28% Dem

American society (Gallup, Aug 15):

41% Ind
31% Dem

When urged to pick the party they leaned toward, the numbers got even closer.

Federal employees:
Rep - 40%
Dem - 44%
Ind - 16%

American society:
Rep - 41%
Dem - 45%
Ind - 14%
