A frustrating thing about having #fibro and sensory sensitivity is that all of a sudden things people always did that you never noticed?

Now endlessly bother you or affect your health.
And I don’t mean “bother” as in ”that’s annoying” - that would imply the ability to suck it up.
But I literally can’t stand the sound of yelling. But 2 sets of twins under 12 live here.

And 3 of them are boys. I usually wake up to loud yelling or screams.
Not the best thing for an asthmatic who gets frequent migrants who is prone to panic attacks and is supposed to lower their stress levels.
Can’t stand certain smells. By can’t stand I’m not saying I would like to not smell them.

I mean certain smells trigger violent vomiting. Sometimes all day.
Or worse I will have asthma attacks or feel like I can’t breathe in a non-asthma way.
Sometimes I can’t bear to be touched.

It might be freezing but sometimes I can’t have a stitch of clothing touching me on those days.

It stings and/or severely itches. I have scratched myself raw before.
The sight of clutter makes it really difficult for me to focus my thoughts.
But I’m too fatigued to clean my room. I get one square tidy, the next one over is a disaster.

The kids help when they can but. Our furniture is still literally boxes and crates.
Things I used to love taste like bland garbage.

I try to eat other things but it’s awful when someone tries to be considerate and you hate what they brought you. Then. Smells again.
Then there are the tastes I want in my mouth that are akin to a compulsion almost.

But it’s just too unhealthy to indulge more than once a month, or you’re far too broke to attempt.
So anyway if are newly diagnosed with fibro?

And you feel like you are suddenly falling apart because one or all of your senses is super-sensitive or barely working?

#Fibromyalgia club welcomes you. We’re gonna get jackets.
*Migraines.

To my knowledge I’ve never had migrants?
(We embrace other #spoonies with sensory issues too.)
