A lawyer on @TuckerCarlson made two statements about libel law. First, she claimed no class actions could ever be brought in libel cases. Actually, libel law only limits the size of the class (individuality of libel), not the use of a class, and doesn't limit class- defendants.
Some of the earliest major libel cases were "class libel" cases, its own category of libel law. As of the most seminal cases of class libel law: "A libel can be a joint act of several persons who can be held jointly liable." Pascale v. Emery, 95 F. Supp. 147, 148 (D. Mass. 1951)
The second claim was that you could never sue a Congressmen for libel. The statute she cites parallels the Speech clause immunity afforded Congress. The Supreme Court limited that immunity to official acts w/in scope of employment, not private publication. Gravel v. United States
