i suspect that the fact that music nfts haven’t captured the attention (and high valuation) of ape jpgs is perhaps a reflection of that unproven track record.
with that said, cryptopunks were selling for 1ETH for many years.
higher the risk, higher the reward.
i definitely agree that there are a lot of people pushing music nfts as the future of everything and it’s intellectually dishonest.
music nfts as they exist are one of many models for music and perhaps it’ll be the main model, but at the very least they challenge the statusquo
i'm not gonna convince you, but at least i can offer the perspective of an artist who has been involved in the space since 2017 before any of you heard about it.

I remember when punks were 1-2 ETH, but never dove in. Also missed the boat on BAYC.
I don't mean to be pessimistic, but perhaps I'm waiting for a good shakeout to buy in. I've been hardened by the 2018-2020 bear market and things feel a bit .... frothy.
