In 1025, the East-West schism remained Catholic-Christians in both rites.
No other Christian (followers of Christ) existed as a separate religion in the Catholic (Universal) Church UNTIL after 1517 when Martin Luther posted his thesis.
We pray our Creed as part of the Holy Rosary & Divine Mercy prayers; it is referred to as the Apostles creed. I broached this subject in another thread shared here:
Catholics pray by talking to God (in adoration, thanksgiving & intercession) informally, formally, unstructured, structured, in music & song..
Well, Catholics do too. We also recognize that our loved ones who died before us are STILL ALIVE in LIFE AFTER DEATH; AND we believe CLOSER TO GOD than we are. So we WILL ask them to..
We ask that of God's Holy Angels including our Guardian Angel.
We ask Jesus' mother, The Blessed Virgin Mary, as well as St. Joseph & any & all of the Holy Saints.
After all, they are already closer to Jesus & we need their prayers for everyone & ourselves.
Catholics abhor IDOLATRY; we use "Sacramentals" (objects that bring God closer to our mind) the same way Christians carry pictures of family, girlfriends, their wife & kids. ARE THEY IDOLS?
Rhetorical: Do you think the Pope is getting FAKE NEWS too?
The Catholic Church is the LARGEST CHRISTIAN CHURCH (1.3B; 2016).
