You don’t have to be a spiritual abuser to be complicit in spiritual abuse. You only have to be aware and do nothing/stand idly by.

1. When a lead pastor is an abuser, the entire elder board is complicit.

2. When a member leaves a church traumatized, whole church is complicit
Entire churches need spiritual abuse training b/c on the last day every member will give an account 4 their covenant member commitments. If we are honest, most church members know when a member has been abused, they just ignore it cuz they don’t want their lives encroached upon.
It is deeply sad/troubling how many church members can hear & even see abuse happen to their covenant peers and turn away. Ignore it. Will say they don’t want to hear about it or distance themselves from abuse victims once they share. Christians who do such things are complicit.
