I am #disabled I am #trans I am #queer I am a #survivor

But most obviously, I am #white

And because of the most obvious part of who I am, I will always be elevated over the people of color in every single one of my communities.
This is true for every single white person who is part of any one or multiple marginalized groups.

Our voices are always heard first and foremost. Yet the racial disparity in our communities is rarely, if ever, discussed.
So often, white people dominate and push ourselves to the for front of each of our #communities

We make spaces that should be open to everyone, only truly welcoming to white people. Instead of boosting the voices of our most marginalized, we silence them
We, as white #disabled #queer #trans #lgbtq people, who fight for equality for ourselves; we always leave our siblings of color to the way side, or ignore them because they point out our own racist behaviors.
We stifle our own communities by silencing people of color who speak out on racism from within our communities.

We need to boost and spread their voices, not silence and talk over them on issues they clearly know more about because they experience them
My disabilities are invisible. My white skin stands out first and foremost before every other part of me. This is true for every single person on this planet.

My skin color elevates me over all people of color in society as a whole and within my own communities
I can walk through life without fear of dying because of my skin color. I don't have to fear someone wanting to hurt me because of my skin color.

I am afforded that privilege because I'm white. Because systematic racism benefits me, a white person, on every level
Racism within marginalized communities needs to be addressed if we want to ever achieve real equality.

People of color, and especially those at the intersection of other marginalized identities, need us white folks to do better.
Us white folks get so many benefits and we take so much for ourselves. Positioning ourselves as leaders in our communities, but dismissing the very real racism that is rampant within our own groups
Adding a #StillWhite tag to this post cause... I didn't think of it when I made this thread lmao
