And biracials and multiracials WILL take the opportunities that you've extended to them by *forcing* the #onedroprule.

I already see it among moms of mixed children. They apply for & get scholarships at private schools.

They get into Ivy Leagues and 2nd tier colleges. Not new.
Ultimately, the joke is on your dumbass.

The #onedroprule works out for *everyone* but you & your unambiguously black children.

Whites can give resources allocated for "black people" to biracials & multiracials whom they PREFER anyway.

Unambiguously black= locked into poverty
The #onedroprule *entrenches* unambiguous black people position at the lowest tier of the socioeconomic hierarchy.

Historically, this has been the case.

Those modest Civil Rights Movement gains were allocated to the lightest black people.

That was The Talented Tenth strategy.
The strategy was for the most "capable black people" (who at the time, were the of lightest skin tones since they had the most privileges to begin with) to take those gains and then build infrastructure and institutions to catch the rest.

However, it hasn't played out that way.
Instead, they were more eager to integrate and join white people.

As black men gain education and more money, they exercise their options to date and marry interracially. True decades ago, even truer today.

For 40 years, black women waited.

The darkest got & get left behind.
FFWD to today, the year 2019, after 40 years of getting left behind and dealing with an imbalanced gender ratio, black women desirous of not living out a day to day, bottom socioeconomic experience are now dating and marrying interracially.

Out of lack of options & exhaustion.
Not *preference*.

We know that black women still prefer black men.

Black women have preferred & thirsted for black men, going as far as dating & marrying men with less education & income, defacto polygyny (man sharing) and raising children alone.

That's some damn dedication.
It's a demographic issue and we've passed the tipping point.

It's no longer sustainable.

This is why black women's interracial marriage rate is rising.

Cultural influence from the first generation Africans who came over in the 90s is influencing our class aspirations too.
Descendant black women, especially the highly educated of darker skin, are receiving cues to shift strategy.

The 40-year experiment has failed & it's not their fault.

Their mothers held down the fort.

But they can't afford to.

Literally can NOT.

Student loan debt to pay back
And with growing class stratification in America, the stakes have never been higher.

The "wrong call" will lock you into America's permanent underclass experience.

And at only 5% of the nation's total population and post Tr*mp, you know nothing is changing anytime soon.
I'm no longer apologizing for going off on seemingly nonsequitur tangents with my threads.

This is my weekend chill time and I'll write what I want. 🤣

Because honestly, I could be reading something right now.

Piano lesson starts at 3:30. Superbowl party after that.

But to Full Circle this---

Biracial and multiracial children produced by black men or black women do NOT have to be promoted in OUR media spaces or allocated affirmative action spots in education or employment.

You CAN & should create separate spaces for your biracial children.
Biracial and multiracial people are going to be produced whether black women join in or not.

So you need to get smart and have a strategy.

Whether or not you do, no one is waiting on you anyway.

Wise black folks are splitting from one drop rulers & prepping for the next decade
