Thread: An Alternative Theory on Lieutenant General Michael Flynn—Part I
[h/t @REMFtweets]

1. Conventional wisdom is defined as “the generally accepted belief, opinion, judgment, or prediction about a particular matter.”
2. Just because “everybody” believes a given storyline doesn’t make it true, absent facts that prove it to be so. Conventional wisdom is frequently wrong! We should have learned that by now after watching Democrat and legacy media attacks on @POTUS over the past 2+ years.
3. Some widely believed anti-Trump conventional wisdom already proven wrong:
a. Trump “colluded” with Russia.
b. “Collusion” is a crime.
c. Don Jr. called his dad before/after that Trump Tower meeting.
3. d. Hillary Clinton was exonerated of classified information mishandling felonies by the FBI.
e. Michael Cohen went to Prague.
3f. The Trump campaign was not (illegally) “spied on” by US IC entities.
g. The allegations in the “Russian dossier” are real and evidence-based.
4. I think you’re getting the idea. However, the people involved with these assertions are, although quite full of themselves, nevertheless devious and clever in weaving complex stories involving many shady characters and actors to support their various allegations.
5. Think about all the characters we’ve learned who were involved in #Spygate thus far: Page, Papadopoulous, Vinogradova, Manafort, Brennan, Comey, Mifsud, Halper, Tawil, Downer, Turk, Millian, Strzok, Priestap, McCabe, etc. And the king himself, Obama.
6. Then think about what we think we know about them after the many shifting stories and spin-jobs over the past two years. Is the conventional wisdom about each correct now? Or are alternative theories not only possible but potentially the actual and unvarnished truth?
7. This thread is principally about an alternative view of LTG Flynn. I am aware that he has developed a cult-like following based on multiple media reports, opinions expressed, and a consensus developed that he is a “good guy” and is loyally serving @POTUS’s best interests.
8. At the same time, the legacy media and partisan Democrats claim he is a Trump loyalist caught by Mueller and cooperating in the inevitable take-down of @POTUS.
9. Let us consider an alternative view for a moment. Thomas Wictor proclaims Michael Flynn “the greatest spook ever.” He’s a patriot and a hero who went on a “near-suicide mission” to find the “Deep State leakers.”…
10. Could it turn out that Michael Flynn has all along been operating as a black hat on a secret mission to destroy @POTUS @realDonaldTrump? Something peculiar embedded in a recent New York Times article points to this as a possibility.
11. As the saying goes, the truth is always hiding in plain sight. First, a bit of background. Shortly before Trump’s inauguration, a series of explosive & widely publicized news reports started appearing about “concerning” phone calls between Flynn & Russian Ambassador Kislyak.
12. Flynn was forced to resign reportedly for lying to @VP @mike_pence and was later criminally indicted for lying to the FBI about the content of those conversations.
13. While this near-daily “front page” news was fueling the rumors of Trump-Russia collusion, what matter of importance went unseen? More on that below.
14. On 17 May 2017, with Flynn now under investigation by Mueller, the NYTimes wrote that before the inauguration – on 4 January – Flynn told the future WH Counsel Don McGahn that he was under investigation by the FBI for his secret lobbying work on behalf of Turkey.
15. <quote>

Michael T. Flynn told President Trump’s transition team weeks before the inauguration that he was under federal investigation for secretly working as a paid lobbyist for Turkey during the campaign, according to two people familiar with the case.
16. Despite this warning, which came about a month after the Justice Department notified Mr. Flynn of the inquiry, Mr. Trump made Mr. Flynn his national security adviser. The job gave Mr. Flynn access to the president and nearly every secret held by American intelligence agencies
17. Mr. Flynn’s disclosure, on Jan. 4, was first made to the transition team’s chief lawyer, Donald F. McGahn II, who is now the White House counsel.
18. That conversation, and another one two days later between Mr. Flynn’s lawyer and transition lawyers, shows that the Trump team knew about the investigation of Mr. Flynn far earlier than has been previously reported.

19. On 19 April 2018, the Comey memos, which served as the basis for appointing Special Counsel Mueller, are finally released. These memos detail the interactions between Trump and Comey, and the conventional wisdom now is that this was evidence of Trump obstructing justice.
20. For example, Trump often brought up the subject of Mike Flynn during the encounters with Comey. At one point he mentioned to Comey, “I hope you can let this go.”
21. From the memos, we also learn that Reince Priebus asked Comey, “Do you have a FISA on Mike Flynn?” Refer to Comey’s memos below.…
22. That background is sufficient to bring us up to December 2018 when previously unknown facts were revealed by the New York Times. Keep in mind that these facts were made known nearly two years after Flynn was fired!
23. On 4 December 2018, we are made aware that the Flynn–Turkish lobbying investigation began right after the 2016 election (before Flynn was picked as the National Security Advisor).

24. Federal prosecutors had begun investigating Mr. Flynn after he wrote an op-ed for The Hill newspaper on Election Day 2016 attacking Mr. Gulen as a “radical Islamist” and a “shady Islamic mullah.”
25. The prosecutors began examining whether Mr. Flynn was working as a paid lobbyist for Turkey.

26. Now we get to the bombshell. Read the above interaction between Trump and Comey (tweets 17 and 18) in the context of the Flynn–Turkish lobbying investigation revelations (tweets 13-16).
27. Did you catch the connection? In the conversation between POTUS and Comey, Trump was almost certainly referring to Flynn’s involvement in the Turkish-lobbying scandal, NOT Russia. His plea to Comey for showing leniency towards Mike Flynn had nothing to do with Russia.
28. The Flynn-Turkish lobbying investigation has been shrouded in mystery. @REMFtweets has been working to crack the code on this enigma.
29. Take a look back at the date previously reported when Flynn reported to Don McGahn that he was subject of a Turkish lobbying investigation – 4 January 2017.
30. That was about a week before the stories about Kislyak phone calls started breaking. Does anybody believe that’s a coincidence? Now recall Reince Priebus asking Comey about the FISA. Who wants to bet he was referring to the Turkish-lobbying case?
31. See what happened? Flynn inserted the hidden Turkey investigation into the minds of Trump staff just as the (planned) Kislyak story was about to blow up.
32. Let’s try to crack the code to the Spygate riddle a bit further than the present conventional wisdom. It is now publicly known that the DOJ/FBI/IC started dual investigations – one public and one invisible/secret/underreported – Into Michael Flynn.
33. The very public one: Mueller’s crew and the “muh Russia” farce. The very private one: Flynn’s Turkish connections.
34. @REMFtweets posits that the purpose of the Turkish lobbying investigation was to create a side investigation tucked away and known only to the DOJ/FBI/IC and *internally* at the WH amongst key staff. With this information, we are able to solve the riddle.
35. The gripping public investigation into @POTUS that is tearing the Nation apart was slyly arranged to coincide with a semi-hidden Turkish-lobbying investigation. Sneaky, devious, and clever.
36. By design, this allowed for matters relating to one investigation (Turkish lobbying) to leak out masquerading as facts related to another investigation (Russian election meddling). With the legacy media slavishly focused on “muh Russia,” who would be the wiser?
37. Conflate the two – and the associated leaks to the media. And the dual investigations allowed Comey to disguise facts to trigger the appointment of a Special Counsel to investigate false insinuations of obstruction regarding the “muh Russia” narrative then gathering steam.
38. Think about the implications, one of which involves Flynn’s apparent desire to plead guilty to lying to the FBI, and another being the speculation as to what information was presented to Judge Sullivan during that brief break in the last sentencing hearing.
39. If Flynn is indeed a black hat, he (& the cabal) would want to keep that Turkish lobbying investigation secret to preclude connecting dots like we are doing in this thread. Accepting the plea deal would end his involvement in “muh Russia” & seal the Turkish investigation, too
40. We will get into more of the possible “why’s and the wherefore’s” of this alternative theory on LTG Flynn in Part II of this series. Remember this important phrase:

“The leaks are real, but the ‘news’ is fake.”
41. @POTUS might also say, “The facts are real, but the narrative is fake.” The Mueller Investigation is illegitimate. It’s based on Comey’s lies. Identify one more participant, and you have a conspiracy.
42. The media is a willing participant. You’ve just seen an example of how the MSM hides the truth in plain sight at the behest of the cabal/Deep State. They are enemies of The People.
43. Who else might employ a form of “embedded messaging”? Here’s Trump’s tweet prior to Flynn’s sentencing on 18 December 2018.
44. Filter the noise, and here’s the real message:

“Good luck… in court… [Sneaky Mike]… will be interesting to see what [you have] to say…”

To be continued….

///The end.
