Quick thread on why that "Green New Deal" FAQ put out by @AOC's office contained the line about providing $ to people "unwilling to work".

If you've followed Communist/Marxist/Socialist thought for decades [and I have] then this is easy to understand.
Communist/Marxist/Socialist philosophy [C/S/M] holds that the capitalist system upon which much of Western society is based is *inherently* unfair, corrupt and criminal by it's very nature.
Therefore, someone who is at the bottom of the class struggle, in poverty, who *RECOGNIZES* this vital truth that the deck is stacked against them and therefore opts out of the *charade* of pretending upward mobility is real is just being *honest*.
This is why in C/M/S thought, a person who REFUSES to work is not looked upon in a negative way. In fact, such a person can be viewed as being in HEROIC RESISTANCE to the evil system which is OPPRESSING THEM.
People like Bernie Sanders and AOC, their entire heroic self-image of themselves is based on being the Socialist Hero/Heroine of the Story Who Takes From The Evil Exploiters And Gives The $ To Poor Oppressed Who Truly Deserve It.
So these C/M/S True Believers look at a person who doesn't want to work & insists on having the State support them quite differently from you and me.
To C/S/M thought, this person refusing to work and *insisting* that people who have 'oppressed' them provide their food, housing, clothing, education & all other support is *ONLY DEMANDING WHAT IS THEIRS BY RIGHT ANYWAY.
This is why you had a major document put forward by a member of Congress & so many rushed to endorse it. Nobody realized *what they were revealing* until it was too late.

The mindset these C/M/S true believers have exists within a very carefully cultivated bubble.
Well the fast, immediate pushback that absurd Green New Deal faq got popped their bubble right quick.

They quickly took the faq down and they've spent two days trying to gaslight all of us into believing it didn't really mean what it said.
But the internet is forever.

And ever.
