All right, let's wrap up @whoismrrobot Season 1 with an #ElRobot thread on eps1.9_zer0-day.avi. Written by @samesmail, and directed by him as well, as every episode going forward will be. This is a good thing, and the show gets increasingly visually interesting from here.
Nice to see Krista separate from Elliot.
This is such an odd place to open the finale. Completely out of nowhere, a seemingly random detail.
Lenny is such a tool. Again, shitty men are always done well.
What a great way to reveal the hack happened.
A lot of time spent on the setup of this episode's premise.
Interesting to see how the early days of the fallout are painted. Normality with a sense of foreboding wonder.
The ambivalence about revolution is on full display with the Budweiser as over the mask video.
The computer burning/puppy freeing sequence is pure delight. Great musical cue too.
So much wasted potential in the Joanna/Elliot scene.
And now the scene that got this delayed a week. Which was probably fair. Love a good Bud Dwyer scene though.
This is the first time it's actually made clear who Price is.
End of the World party is always good.
Angela buying shoes is a hugely fucked up scene and I love it.
I like shows where people are told they're gods.
Price's big monologue that properly makes him as a villain is heavenly. I love him.
Mr. Robot's kingdom of bullshit monologue is absurd but fundamentally lovable.
The last scene before the credits doesn't quite work.
The post credit scene, on the other hand, is superlative. Another great "holy shit these people know each other" reveal.
And the long take is a really effective buildup.
Also Price and Whiterose are great opposite each other.
The watch beep is a great "yes this person."
All right. That's season one. On to better things. Probably tomorrow though. @threadreaderapp unroll
