Someday I think I'll write a piece on all the shows set in U.S. Attorney's offices. They are all very bad unless you accept it is 100% nothing like a real U.S. Attorney's Office.

/2 I think my favorite, in the "so bad it's good" category, was David Caruso's show, which featured Caruso as an AUSA who would go along on searches of drug operations and borrow a drop gun from one of the DEA agents on the way. Just in case.
/3 That show also featured the U.S. Attorney herself barking an order "GET MY GULFSTREAM READY" to a staff member. I taped it and showed it to the U.S. Attorney I worked for at the time and she about choked.
Anyway, real AUSAs don't go on search warrants with guns.
Locals on a Drug Task Force did once offer to pick me up in a helicopter and fly me to a search (they were absurdly grateful someone was helping with their cases), but I didn't, because of the Holy Shit Rule /end
