I actually have a close friend who detransitioned. Not because she isn't trans or regretted anything. It's because:

1. Her family wasn't supportive
2. Her spouse was going to leave
3. She couldn't find work
4. Her life was threatened

Society's the problem. Not being trans.
If the community around my friend was more supportive, she would not have gone back into the closet. And make no mistake: That's exactly what she's done. She knows who she is. She just can't live as who she is. It's not safe enough for her. It breaks my heart to think about it.
When people say "Amanda wants to deny detransition happens" that's simply untrue. I know it happens. It's happened to someone I love. But we need to talk more about WHY it happens. In all my research so far, the biggest reason I see is a lack of support or societal understanding.
So it’s important not to lump all detransitioning people into the “those who aren’t trans and have regret” group. Sure, there are people who feel that way. But there are many more, like my friend, who would give anything to live as the person they know they are inside.
I need to clarify something from my this thread: It’s 100% valid if the spouse of a trans person wants to leave after their partner comes out. I know plenty who have.

It’s not ok to try and push them back into the closet & deny who they are for your own comfort though.
