Root cause of Kashmir problem that we are facing today is Jawaharlal Nehru. Details of his absolute foolishness, lack of farsightedness coupled with cunningness of highest order & selfishness will make every patriotic Hindustani seethe in anger & disgust.
Soon after Independence, Pakistan pushed tribals into the valley & its army attacked Kashmir. Sardar Patel as the Home Minister without wasting anytime sent the troops & they successfully chased the Intruders out by reclaiming all of Kashmir. JK was almost 'secured'.
Around the same time, Sardar Patel had another highly sensitive & important state to take care of - Assam. Many districts were made part of East Pakistan (today's Bangladesh). But people of those districts wanted to stay in/with India. He stayed there for four days.
Four days. Those four days proved to be very expensive (as we count the number of our martyred soldiers). Because, while Patel was in Assam securing the NE frontier away from Delhi, the first PM of India Mr. Jawaharlal Nehru played his dirtiest political murky game ever.
In the absence of Sardar Patel, Mr. Nehru went to the international court of justice (ICJ) over Kashmir issue. It's exactly wat Pakistan wanted & Nehru played into the hands of his 'good friend' Mountbatten by ordering ceasefire in Kashmir & taking the matter to ICJ.
As a result of that ONE BLUNDER by Nehru, Kashmir became an international dispute between two countries. What Sardar Patel had courageously tackled & ALMOST settled Kashmir issue, Nehru opened the doors to the enemy to have a way to creep in. And Pak gleefully embraced it.
Two glaring Qns.
(1) Why did Nehru take such a big decision (which had far reaching repurcussions as we feel, suffer & pay for even today) when country's Home Minister was not present in Delhi?
(2) Why did Nehru take Kashmir issue to ICJ when Patel had almost settled it?
The only answer we get for these Qns is Nehru's absolute foolishness, cunningness & selfishness. Nehru never wanted Patel to be credited with Kashmir integration. He knew Sardar Patel would have NEVER PERMITTED to take the matter to ICJ as he knew its ramifications.
Hence, like a devious fox, Nehru took Kashmir matter to ICJ when Sardar Patel was not present. Soon after he came to know of Nehru's foolish decision, he literally expressed his discontent, anger & anguish in unambiguous terms to Nehru. But as usual, the fox never cared.
In the words of Patel:
(1) "Even a lawyer working at district court knows that if you take a complaint to the court of law, then it is your responsibility to provide proof for the mistakes committed by the accused. But the accused has only job of denying the accusations"
(2) "Jawaharlal Nehru has taken such an incorrect decision that he will have to repent and cry badly one day”.
Well, whether or not Nehru or his dynasty family members cried or not, we as a country are crying at the loss of our soldiers. Latest being #Pulwama 40.
Later on, subsequent governments made mistakes after mistakes & NONE exhibited the GUTS & VISION of Sardar Patel. Therefore, dear PM @narendramodi - you are now standing on the cusp of making history & correcting the past blunder & settle matter. Don't miss this moment.
