We often forget how Amazon revolutionized software architecture and development, leading to “new disciplines” and culture shifts epitomized by DevOps and microservices which is helping many businesses create and launch better software, often on Amazon’s own AWS platform.
2. Jeff Bezos is to software development what Henry Ford was to the mass production of automobiles.

“Scaling is by mitosis. Teams split apart into smaller teams that completely own a service. EC2 started as one two pizza team.”

Not surprisingly, this resembles microservices.
3. What if we had something similar to DevOps/Continuous Integration approach that’s helping build better software for improving bills/laws passed by Congress that get challenged in courts? Using a “DevOps/CI” approach, judges would be working closely with lawmakers on bills.
4. Lawmakers rarely think about the courts when enacting legislation, which leads to time-consuming judicial challenges. This is also how bad software used to go live before they came up with practices like DevOps, which broke down firewall between Developers and Operations.
