(Context) Morris Dees is a sick and twisted bastard that acted as a figurehead for everything wrong in today’s political climate.

So I celebrate this news. twitter.com/i/moments/1079…
Here’s a comparison. Imagine if Angelo Carusone of Media Matters was fired.

THAT’S the gravity of this SPLC situation.
The SPLC is an organization that works in the shadows BEHIND big tech company platforms in an advisory sort of capacity.

So this is a HUGE win for people that have been politically targeted with censorship/bannings
"When one of our own fails to meet those standards, no matter his or her role in the organization, we take it seriously and must take appropriate action."
people are asking for possible reasoning. only thing of note i can find is:

"bringing in an outside organization to conduct a comprehensive assessment of our internal climate and workplace practices,"
"Dees' biography appeared scrubbed from the SPLC's website as news broke of his termination on Thursday afternoon. "
