Reading the apparent manifesto of the #NewZealandMosqueShooting #NewZealandShooting #NewZealandTerroristAttack & it's clear that one person above all - Anders Breivik - especially inspired the shooter, and another person, above all, built the motivating ideology. Trump knows him.
First: neo-Nazi terrorist Anders Breivik's manifesto cited the "cultural Marxism" conspiracy theory (CMCT) literally hundreds of times. Back in '016 I wrote this piece chronicling some of the international incidents of far-right terrorism linked to CMCT. 4thgenwar.wordpress.com/2016/07/11/tru…
The apparent manifesto of the New Zealand mosque shooting terrorist is tricky. He calls himself an "eco-fascist" but says nothing of ecology. He trolls (probably) Candace Owens. He also cites other terrorists who have especially inspired him, such as Dylann Roof & Anders Breivik.
Of those figures, Breivik seems uniquely inspirational. The shooter claims to have personally met Breivik, who he calls a Knight Templar and "Knight Justiciar" and received Breivik's blessing for the planned attack. Now, the manifesto is saturated with the "white genocide" theme
...as w/ Breivik, the idea that white Europeans are being targeted for demographic extinction by non-white immigrants with higher birthrates (an absurd idea to begin with, because without the immigrants the whites would be... genociding themselves?) occurs in a larger context...
That context is "cultural Marxism" which the manifesto explicitly cites: "you find the people running the show are in fact far from religious themselves and more often than not are actually atheistic cultural marxists using naive Christian Europeans to both labour and fund..."
"...fund their own attempt at class and racial warfare." So that's the context for the "white genocide" - it's being engineered by the "cultural marxists" who "run the show". And, per the conspiracy theory, it's *not just about* "white genocide"
(per the manifesto) "Its the cities where the struggle lies, its the cities where the invaders have massed, its the cities where the marxists have poisoned the institutions". "cultural Marxism" is seen as a dual pincer movement, both overwhelming the under-breeding whites with...
...nonwhite babies but also subverting and "poisoning" the culture - an effort as significant and destructive as the demographic onslaught, because the ultimate goal is *not* merely "white genocide" but the destruction of Western Christian Civilization itself. And that's why...
...the "cultural Marxism" conspiracy theory has spread to the ends of the Earth - it's not America-specific. From the US to Sweden, from to Russia and Australia, people on the far-right have embraced CM. That's by *design*. The conspiracy theory was *designed* to colonize the..
...ideological vacuum left by the collapse of communism. New foes were required. CM targets a broad array of groups - liberals and leftists, atheists, university intellectuals, Muslims, Jews. And more (I'm surely leaving some groups out).
The manifesto envisions all-out civil war to stop the alleged plot - "Invade the cities, take the cities, battle in the streets for the cities. The cities are the economic, judicial, political, ethnic and cultural battleground of our people and it is there..."
"where we shall wage our war". And there's another very interesting, related theme - that of a coming civil war in America which "will eventually balkanize the US along political, cultural and, most importantly, racial lines." It continues,
"This balkanization of the US will not only result in the racial separation of the people within the United States ensuring the future of the White race on the North American continent, but also ensuring the death of the "melting pot" pipe dream."
Now, many on the far right (not just William Pierce) have written "coming civil war race war" novels and tracts. Since "The Turner Diaries" it's become a rather crowded genre. But I am not aware of an author of such a work meeting with a man who was soon elected US president...
...except foe one man - William S. Lind who, as it happens, also played a key role in popularizing the "cultural Marxism" conspiracy that drags, in tow, "white genocide" as part of the plot. Now, "white genocide", as an idea, is much older than "cultural Marxism". Yes, indeed.
One important purveyor was the neo-Nazi David Lane, of "The Order", and by some accounts the idea traces back at least as far as the 1970s. That would make sense, because "The Camp of the Saints", which contains the idea, was published in 1973. But there is...
a very important distinction to be made between the racist tracts and slogans of a marginal figure such as Lane, and what William S. Lind has accomplished. Lane's tracts and slogans are known to white supremacists and neo-Nazis, sure. But they have not conquered the...
...upper intellectual reaches of American conservatism or, to the extent they have, conservatives who embrace them know better than to admit that publicly. But "cultural Marxism", by contrast was designed as a conspiracy theory that's not obvious as such - its sounds rational...
...and plausible to those unaware of the real history of the "Frankfurt School", and it's not, on quick glance at least, so obviously racist. Of course, it truly is, but in a much more sophisticated fashion than the tracts of declared white supremacists and neo-Nazis. And that...
...is precisely why it has colonized much of the intellectual high ground of American conservatism ; that's why Donald Trump could, more or less safely, meet with William S. Lind and circulate copies of Lind's "The Next Conservatism" in the Trump campaign. Lind takes pains to...
not seem anti-Semitic (by contrast with "The Turner Diaries", in Lind's novel "Victoria", which in many other regards resembles Pierce's book, Christians and Jews fight side by side) and one would need to actually *read" Victoria to appreciate the screaming racism, plus Lind...
...wrote the novel using a pseudonym. Though he's openly admitted writing it, this muddies the water. The short of this is, prominent conservatives are not going to openly embrace David Lane - not yet anyway, nor are prominent conservative politicians going to meet with...
...the likes of people like Lane, or even slightly tamer characters such as David Duke. But Donald Trump *did* meet with William S. Lind. 4thgenwar.wordpress.com/2016/07/11/tru…
Did I forget to mention that Lind's "Victoria" is about a coming civil war that starts in 2020, topples the federal government, and shatters the union into warring, balkanized ethnic and cultural enclaves? I covered that in this recent thread and...
