Ok, let's reorientate this week, in light of recent news.

1. Please remember: the House passed #HR8 on February 27th. It's the Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019.

Today is a good day to call Senators and ask them to take it up. congress.gov/bill/116th-con…

(Scripts at end)
2. This week is also the week the House is expected to set up votes to override Trump's veto on the national emergency.

(The speculated date is tomorrow, 3/26 - be aware). Definitely call and ask your House members to support the veto override. We need 290 in the House.

3. Please, please also continue calling your electeds about the #MuellerReport.

Let me preface this by saying: this is just one investigation, there are still multiple ongoing. So yes, still more to learn. theatlantic.com/politics/archi…
With that in mind, please continue calling your electeds and let them know:

- You support their efforts to get a full copy of the report,
- The public needs a declassified version of the report,
- You support the House's call on asking Barr to testify under oath.
- Mueller should also testify, to explain the key findings of the report.

Remember, the House unanimously passed a resolution for the Mueller report to be made public, so definitely call ALL House members and point to this vote.

It's also worth calling your Senators - including the GOP naysayers who have been popping up in the last day or so (I see you, Ted Cruz) - and letting them know: the House clearly believes releasing the report is for the good of the country.

Senators should 100% follow suit.
Here's the script for the #MuellerReport from yesterday - amend as needed. If you need a specific version, don't hesitate to ask.

Also, for those of us with Democratic electeds: please call them too.

As someone who has worked for multiple Dem electeds, those calls still matter. You're giving them the # to say: "the people care about this, and they care enough to reach out." Don't just assume they know.
And for Georgia friends: the House vote (again) on House Bill 481 is widely expected to be today.

Today is a very good day to donate to @PPSE_Advocates: ppse.org:
An addendum for Mueller: be aware that this is what Senate Judiciary is pursuing.

We should condemn this as we call.
