I was attacked viciously by Democrats last year for saying that #Avenatti was not only not presidential material, but dangerous for Dems to tie themselves to, that he had questionable history with clients and contractors and women.

I was the 1st journalist Avenatti blocked.
Hundreds of Democrats, including some prominent Twitter voices, claimed he would be our best choice for 2020 and excoriated me for "being divisive."
Avenatti tanked the fight against #Kavanaugh by bringing in a questionable witness who gave the #GOP an excuse to ignore Ford.
Many of the #Avenatti fans are now pushing #Biden, which I have also said is a huge error in judgement.
Just as I warned #Mueller was not going to save us.
My point is simply that some of us have been covering politics for decades and doing it without fealty to individuals.
I liked #HillaryClinton a lot--and still do. She's a public servant who has done a great deal for this country and for women & children in particular. But I was not married to her and I am not married to anyone for 2020.
What I do hope is that folks read up on candidates.
I was among a mere handful of journalists writing about Trump in 2014, 2015 and 2016 and warning about how dangerous he was. I illumined #HillaryClinton's platform because of how progressive it was and how it moved America forward. Trump had no platform.

Few politicians will turn out to be outright criminals like Trump & #Avenatti, but you must follow journalists who aren't selling a party line. And we are in the minority.
Last week it was revealed that Bernie Sanders hired a senior adviser who had been posing as a journalist.
While every candidate is entitled to hiring sleazy people, we are all known by the company we keep. Sanders only revealed that David Sirota was working for him because an investigative journalist uncovered it. And in typical Sanders fashion,he hand-waved it.
You should care.
This isn't about me being right about Trump, #MuellerReport, Avenatti & Sirota. It's about you needing to be more discerning. The quest for a white male savior is how Trump was elected. He bamboozled folks who wanted a savior instead of a hard working plodder who got sh*t done.
I told hundreds of people on here and thousands in pieces I wrote over the past two years that Trump was not going to be impeached, that #Mueller wasn't going to indict him and that the only answer was to vote him out with his polar opposite in 2020.

There are four incredibly accomplished women senators who are running for president. Each one of them would flatten Trump. We've seen #Harris and #Klobuchar stand up to Trump's minions in real time and they were fantastic. They would knock him off his pins in debates.
#Warren and #Gillibrand are the most progressive voters in the Senate. They have the best policy to offer--more progressive than #BernieSanders, who was the progressive standard bearer for 2016, & more accomplished and less Establishment.
These are real choices for next year.
Many of you are still searching for that white male savior. But try and remember where that has gotten us. In 2000 you thought Gore was "too boring" and you'd like to have a beer with the affable GWB. In 2016 you thought Hillary was too boring and Trump might light things up.
White voters have made many errors in the past 20yrs and created racial and gender divides that have harmed millions.
So be cautious. Read up. Stop using whiteness & maleness as your only metrics.
And listen to those of us who keep being right, even if you hate us for it.
