#StateCaptureInquiry Pretorius asks about the video played at the @StateCaptureCom featuring Watson counting cash. "That was a regular occurrence," says Agrizzi. He says Mti gave him some coins once, which Agrizzi thought were gold, but they weren't and Agrizzi gave them away.
#StateCaptureInquiry Agrizzi claims Mti is an avid golfer and once, he alleges, Gavin Watson gestured to Mti's golfing equipment saying something to the effect of look what I bought. He suggests there will be records of golf club payments and Watson is not a golfer.
#StateCaptureInquiry Agrizzi now mentions an incident at a clothing shop in Sandton City. "I remember going into the shop and having to get the slips and having to get them paid [...] there is a short, Xhosa-speaking man there who only dealt with the Watsons and Mti," he claims.
#StateCaptureInquiry Agrizzi says once on entering the shop, the assistant reported there was a Boss sports jacket Mti had asked to have altered, the assistant asked when Mti would be coming to collect it.
#StateCaptureInquiry Agrizzi recalls another occasion when he received a call from Mti, while he was in Umhlanga, and Mti called Agrizzi to a shoe shop. The shop, he says, makes shoes for the Pope. "He found a pair of shoes or two he really liked [...] it was R19,000," he says.
MT: Agrizzi says on an occasion Mti opened his car's boot remotely and, he claims, Watson walked over, put a suitcase into the boot, in the suitcase was a security bag of cash. "I estimated about R150,000 [...] but it was eye-opening to me because it was done in broad daylight."
#StateCaptureInquiry Agrizzi claims he called Watson who told him to buy the shoes for Mti on Agrizzi's Bosasa credit card. "It was maxed out," he says, following the alleged payment for shoes to the tune of R19,000.

#StateCaptureInquiry Agrizzi: Gavin was very concerned that he had to keep people - Mti, Gillingham - content. Gavin knew if Mti and Gillingham turned on him then he would be bought out. So he was very pressurised to keep them happy and content.
#StateCaptureInquiry Agrizzi claims during a meeting in the Michelangelo he was told there was no point to whistleblowing and if he did, "We will sort you out."
#StateCaptureInquiry "We actually paid for a full after party of SONA," claims Agrizzi before citing Cubana in Cape Town. "We paid for the SONA, everything, at Cubana. It cost us hundreds of thousands of rand. I was very upset."
#StateCaptureInquiry Zondo says, "Let me ask you this: was there any contract for which Bosasa didn't pay bribes." Agrizzi replies, "No, Chair." He claims banks were "duped" by other companies in the Bosasa Group but these are not state capture issues.
[NB CORRECTION] #StateCaptureInquiry Agrizzi's lists the so-called 'Watson Pact' in which Kevin Wakeford was responsible for dealing with politics. Andries van Tonder was responsible for dealing with the banks. Agrizzi was responsible for making sure the business ran well.
[NB CORRECTION] #StateCaptureInquiry Agrizzi claims Van Tonder was instructed to take Wakeford to meetings with Bosasa's bank, FNB, in the wake of scrutiny. Wakeford, he claims, was responsible for persuading bankers Bosasa was being targeted as a BEE company, he was persuasive.
#StateCaptureInquiry In addition to claims Bosasa paid for a post-SONA party at Cubana in Cape Town, Agrizzi says the company also spent money on jazz festival tickets and this annoyed him.
#StateCaptureInquiry Agrizzi says Seophela and Watson were "very close, very close" and he called Seophela was the "2.5%" man because, he alleges, Seophela would get a finder's fee of that amount on contracts. He says Bosasa arranged an Audi Coupe car rental for Seophela.
[PARAPHRASED] #StateCaptureInquiry A little earlier, Pretorius asked Agrizzi if Bosasa directors Johannes Gumede, Papa Leshabane and one other were unconnected to the claimed lawbreaking. Agrizzi claims they were involved before listing contracts to which they were instrumental.
#StateCaptureInquiry Now Agrizzi speaks of a CCTV and access control contract with the Northern Cape Education Department. "I know for a fact there was no tender [...] no tender process and it was made out to be an emergency requirement," he claims.
Agrizzi says this contract was secured around the time of his first resignation from Bosasa. He's made an allegation about the arranging of a bribe, in order to pay off a sister of a Northern Cape politician. Bribe money of R1.25 million was requested and paid to her, he claims.
#StateCaptureInquiry "They excluded me on this one," claims Agrizzi of the Northern Cape Education Department contract he alleges was facilitated through Sondolo IT and included paying a R1.25 million bribe to the sister of a provincial politician.
#StateCaptureInquiry Zondo adjourns for lunch. Proceedings resume at 14:00.
#StateCaptureInquiry Proceedings resume. Agrizzi begins speaking on a Bosasa contract with the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development. "Chair, the contract that was awarded to us was irregular [...] it received a lot of resistance from the procurement department."
#StateCaptureInquiry Agrizzi says once the contract was underway, they received complaints. "People were very unhappy with the services," he says. He then commissioned a survey at courts on the grievances over security installations. "We eventually did rectify it."
#StateCaptureInquiry Agrizzi says they were receiving a monthly maintenance fee from @DOJCD_ZA. "This is what happens when people are doing their job and they are being captured [...] because people are being looked after these problems are never escalated," he says.
#StateCaptureInquiry Pretorius asks if it is correct that the services being provided were not in accordance with the contractual standards. Agrizzi says there was no monitoring being conducted.
#StateCaptureInquiry Next, Agrizzi moves on to an e-learning learning project involving tablets. "We had been given the contract to award iPads for schools [...] issued out for Gauteng schools," says Agrizzi.
#StateCaptureInquiry "We did the tender but what I do have to declare here is that an initial R500,000 was paid," says Agrizzi before noting the contract was later cancelled but a maintenance contract with Sondolo IT remained in place, he claims.
#StateCaptureInquiry Zondo asks who was giving the contract. Agrizzi replies, "Usaasa." He says their offices were near the Mall of Africa. According to the Usaasa website, it is an SOE, or "public body" governed by the Electronic Communications Act 36 of 2005.
#StateCaptureInquiry Agrizzi claims cash was arranged in connection with the Usaasa contract for distributing smart tablets to high school classrooms in Gauteng. He claims he saw cash being handed over for distribution to relevant person linked to that contract.
#StateCaptureInquiry Agrizzi now moves on to a March contract for camera installations involving Dahua. You may recognise the name of this company, which is linked to Andile Ramaphosa's Blue Crane Capital and how, according to statements, he was introduced to Bosasa.
#StateCaptureInquiry Agrizzi says he was opposed to the Dahua contract for camera installations because there was no tender. THis was the time of his second resignation from Bosasa, he says.
#StateCaptureInquiry Agrizzi claims a colleague invited him to a meeting with the CEO of Dahua and Andile Ramaphosa. Agrizzi says he did not attend the meeting. This was in March 2017, he says. Cameras were then installed at a certain court, he claims.
[NOTE] Andile Ramaphosa is listed in South African corporate records as a former director of Dahua Solutions Africa. Dahua Technology Co. Ltd. is a Chinese based camera manufacturer.
