It turned out that, as usual, MPs’ public proclamations and manifesto promises were utter lies.
If implementing a democratic choice is populism , then I’m now a populist. 3/
Agriculture, trade, fisheries, free ports, taxation, regulation etc. Probably all gone.
We could have used our freedom to direct sound liberal economic reforms at our poorest areas and, importantly, bring our forgotten people home. 5/
The HoL, swathes of the Civil Service, the BBC, TV and most newspapers.
Journalism has largely become political activism. 6/
Those roots are the people themselves.
