May 23 set to be a fascinating polling day. Nigel Farage’s new Brexit party and the Independent Group (Change UK) will both run a full slate of 73 candidates for the European elections. Both hopeful of giving Tories, Ukip and Labour a kicking.

The Tories are very much not looking forward to the Euros. Insiders say worst case scenario is they’re left with 4 MEPs, best is 15.

“We may end up running paper candidates. The party could end up embarrassed by how little money and support we receive.”
