Now, I for one...although I do not care for some of his his associates would defend Mr Corbyn, if he was attacked. Just like war zones and the horrendous crimes committed in the UK, brave men and women, as @COLRICHARDKEMP states, are simply hardwired to protect...at all costs!
@COLRICHARDKEMP mentions the "Black sense of humour". Be it military or law enforcement, without it I myself would have found demanding work so very difficult. 'Fight or flight' - Walter Bradford Cannon described what happens in 1915.
These men are trained to protect, think laterally and not one person will mention what the glands of the body do. Yes I've seen cowardice, or was it simply someone's system acting according to nature. These men protect and black humour helps.
I've said it before, if you look at these men, if you've ever used a sidearm...you can see that they are more interested in making sure their weapons are clear. Had they meant to 'kill' the paper the groupings would indeed be so much tighter.
Having trained with side arms and long arms, part of the training included slow to rapid fire, close to principle, low light, the quick change from assault weapon to sidearm, distance. And to prove accuracy and for fun...shoot the corners off the target paper!
How would our once great nation feel if a much loved member of society was shot and killed if these men did not practice accordingly. Just like distance shooting, or the use of any weapon platform.
PTSD and Adjustment Disorder are not generic, one could say these things come in different flavours. So whilst people are outraged, just remember the aforementioned can hit you like a brick 10 years after. Be that civilian or troops and police, risking their lives daily!
I concur with @COLRICHARDKEMP. Training works, but unlike those playing war on their gaming devices...these men don't get 10 lives and neither would the principle they are protecting. Then as they age, they ruminate, sadly many not afforded the help suffer.
Thanks for reading.
