Let's imagine for a moment that @sista_theology, @JemarTisby, @ThabitiAnyabwil, and the other Christian "anti-racists" mean it when they say they are being misunderstood in their demonization of "Whiteness." (I think there's good reason to doubt this, but let's assume for a min.)
These are Christian teachers.

They know how to introduce new, difficult, and sensitive truths to unfamiliar audiences. They know to carefully and deliberately define their terms; to remove unnecessary stumbling blocks.
They know to avoid highly controversial terminology where less controversial terms will do; to be patient with their hearers as they introduce new concepts, new ideas, and new terms. They know that if a misunderstanding occurs, they should take the responsibility to clear it up.
Ask yourself, in what other context, on what other issue, with what other audience, would it ever be appropriate for a Christian leader to blame their *hearers* for a misunderstanding after introducing completely novel ideas, and the novel use of highly controversial terms?
But these teachers have not merely blamed their hearers for the apparent "misunderstanding." They have *demonized* them. They have *mocked* them as "fragile" (see @KSPrior). They have accused their hearers of white supremacy to the main stream media (see @lisasharper).
This is just one piece of evidence against their claim that they have merely been misunderstood.

This is not the behavior of teachers who genuinely *want* to be understood. This is the appalling and manipulative behavior of teachers who want unquestioning submission & obedience
This is not the behavior of teachers who genuinely care for their hearers, and want to help lead them into the truth.

This is the behavior of teachers who despise their hearers, and want to beat them over the head with their own version of "the truth."
Or, perhaps, it's the behavior of teachers who are too emotionally wrapped up in their teaching to objectively and helpfully communicate that teaching to people who might have honest questions or objections. (That's the most charitable reading of their behavior).
Regardless, it is clear that these teachers are not currently fit to teach on this subject.

And that is the BEST that can be said of these teachers, even assuming that they have been genuinely misunderstood.
