Ocasio-Cortez is lying, again

1. The Republican-controlled House and Senate passed a bill in 2016 allowing the 9/11 victims to sue Saudi Arabia for the attack. Obama vetoed it. The GOP-controlled House and Senate overrode Obama's veto: usatoday.com/story/news/pol…
The 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund has been around for years, Ilhan Omar did not create it.

The bill was initially signed into law right after 9/11 by President George W. Bush: federalregister.gov/documents/2002…

It has been renewed multiple times since 9/11 to keep funding going

Republicans always support funding the military more than Democrats do and are much harder on terrorism than Democrats are.

Omar has called for defunding the entire Department of Homeland Security, which was created after 9/11 to prevent another 9/11 from happening.
Omar has also advocated for leniency in the sentencing of men who were convicted of trying to join ISIS: fox9.com/news/minnesota…

Just last week, Omar called for a senior member of the Muslim Brotherhood member to be released from prison in Egypt: conservativereview.com/news/ilhan-oma…

Just last month, Jon Stewart, who *hates* Trump, praised the Trump administration for how it was handling the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund and for doing everything in their power to help the victims of 9/11 victims: nydailynews.com/new-york/ny-po…
