I’ve been trying to find words for the past 13h, but I’m in utter awe of this moment in history.

We are witnessing the rise of fascism in the United States, and signal Dem Party leadership is choosing to send to Trump and his supporters is we will stay silent and do nothing.
This is not the first time GOP or Trump has vilified @IlhanMN and it will not be the last. I’ve lost all hope that our elected leadership cares at this point.

It was clear before, but it is reaffirmed in moments like these. @IlhanMN @RashidaTlaib are the future of this country.
#IStandWithIlhan and will dedicate my time towards electing a new generation of leadership like her. She is our north star. This moment demands political courage, moral clarity, and visionary leadership.

We know what we stand for. Do you @SpeakerPelosi @SenSchumer @LeaderHoyer?

AIPAC has dropped over $1M in less than 48 hours against @SummerForPA, the Democratic nominee in #PA12.

Yet not a single Democratic Party leader has condemned AIPACs most recent spending for her GOP opponent, despite claiming to fight for a Dem majority.
This is a dangerous precedent for Dem leadership to not weigh in publicly on.

AIPAC is trying to set an example with Summer— if you dare speak out about Palestinian human rights + are young, progressive, and Black you will be crushed. Unless Democratic Party leadership steps in.

This election isn’t about our feelings. This is about the preservation of democracy, protection of marginalized people and everyone we love that calls America home. We must defeat the rise of fascism in the US and the world is counting on us.
And when we elect @karaforcongress on Nov 3, she will join @JamaalBowmanNY, @CoriBush, and @Marie4Congress in the incoming freshman class that will represent our movement in Congress to hold a Biden administration accountable. Together, we’ll have doubled the squad in two cycles
It doesn’t matter if @JoeBiden likes us or not. What matters is that we put our people in positions of power to force them and every non-urgent elected official to meet this moment

Last year, as progressives launched campaigns to build on the momentum of AOC and Ayanna Pressley's victories, @SpeakerPelosi stood by the @dccc policy to blacklist any organization that worked on primary challenges against incumbent Democrats. huffpost.com/entry/dccc-pro…
For two years, Democratic Party leadership has endorsed incumbents over progressive primary challengers claiming it is their policy to always back incumbents -- even when the incumbent was anti-choice and endorsed by the NRA. texastribune.org/2019/09/29/nan…
But now, when a US Senator champions the Green New Deal while wildfires blanket @SpeakerPelosi home state in smoke, she chooses to endorse a challenger.

This is using your power to undermine next generation Democratic voters and the progressive champions we choose to believe in

This is a losing strategy. Like literally, Donald Trump is President.
Punditry and DC insiders like to say candidates in the ‘center’ like Biden want to win, and those on the ‘left’ or ‘progressives’ want purity. That is not the case.
What the ‘center’ wants is to win by a tiny margin that maintains the status quo, while our progressive movement wants transformative change for this country. And that is what we believe is the key to winning in 2020.
