/ Will MPs Concern Ever Rule The UK?: Dear MPs - There is in a word, in a verb, something sacred which forbids us from using it recklessly. To handle a language cunningly is to practice a kind of evocative sorcery - Charles Baudelaire, "Théophile Gautier," L'art romantique
/ Many serving UK MPs are not mindful of their words. They monitor trendlines, they utilise statistics, jump on the back of certain narratives...yet, in these tumultuous political times, one has yet to see anything worthy of note.
/ The salient word is 'Tumultuous'...an adjective. Indeed I hear the very loud, those full of confusion, change, or uncertainty. Indeed MPs are utilising this adjective very well. And to the aghast of many UK citizens earning a fortune!
/ MPs of most political persuasions now feel under threat. I do not condone verbal, written or cyber threats...I am hardwired to protect. But, thanks to the people putting MPs where they are, one has to ask - "Are are you part of the problem?"
/ As the saying goes - "Don't be afraid to be assertive. People can cope with conflict if they know that it can be resolved peacefully"...but remember your attitudes, as every path has its puddle!
/ When you are describing a shape, a sound, a tint. Don't state the matter plainly, but put it in a hint and learn to look at all things with a sort of mental squint - Lewis Carroll
/ The passage at point 6 written by Lewis Carroll is how many are seeing the current UK political system. The major restoration plans, without moving MPs or the Lords (even though some may be asleep!), could cost up to 5.7bn...this beggars the question...cont:
/ To save the public paying for close protection details, to limit the cost of the renovation...why not move MPs back to their constituency bases. For a lower sum hire a huge hall, attend there on the decision days. We are now in the 21st century and technology exists...cont:
/ With the completion of the Parliament upgrade scheduled for 32 years away, we may be living in a dystopian Blade Runner (Adapted from the Philip K Dick book: Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?) type world where replicants do our bidding.
/ The 'Return to Base' wage and housing savings would be huge, as would the expenses claims. Because you entered politics with a passion, not for monetary gain, this makes perfect sense to me, one should imagine it makes perfect sense to you too!
/ Or we could carry on regardless...and continue to discuss Brexit for the next 32 years!
/ One was somewhat worried recently after a friend told me the faecal matter was purging from The Houses and it was full of drips. One is so pleased that matter was cleared up!
