Seriously, WHAT THE HELL?

Every time I read one of these stories, I can’t even. How have women scientists not burned it all down at this point? What are we doing? What will it take for change to happen? nytimes.com/2019/04/18/mag…
I'm so angry right now I had to walk away from the computer and take a break mid-read of that article. Read it. Seriously. Cause there are some unbelievable aspects to it.
One was a casual drop that all interviews for that article were completed before a settlement of a case in August 2018. That means Mallory Pickett has been working on this story for A YEAR. That's what it takes to get even something this egregious published.
One researcher took a tape measure to the labs to document how women were being shortchanged and the REFUSED TO LOOK AT THE DATA.

Scientists refused to look at the data.
My fricking twitter is full of Mueller report and no collusion and pundit after pundit saying BLAH BLAH BLAH and this story of how some of the most talented women scientists around were systematically mistreated and forced out will probably just fly under the radar and ARGH!
As my mentions get filled with people wondering if the people profiled deserved what they got, remember that these were among the most successful scientists around.
I mean... are you kidding me? Did this just get forgotten?
ARGH! ARGH! ARGH! ARGH! ARGH! ARGH! ARGH! ARGH! ARGH! ARGH! ARGH! ARGH! ARGH! ARGH! ARGH! ARGH! ARGH! ARGH! ARGH! ARGH!
You have to read the whole thing. There's just too much in there.
This is fine.
