Thread: A News Summary for the Past Week

1. Last week had some pretty amazing breaking news, almost none of which was good for Democrats. Let’s do a review and see if that bold statement holds up.
2. First of all, George Papadopoulos (Pdop), Rep. Nunes, Rep. Jordan, and former AG Mukasey upped the ante on Obama regime spying during their interviews on Maria Bartiromo’s Sunday Morning Futures show. “Entrapment” can be added to “spying”!
threadreaderapp.com/thread/1125454…
2A. During Mukasey’s interview, he said that Barr did not make false statements to Congress as the Democrats have been loudly claiming in order to discredit him.

<quote>
2B. Former Attorney General Michael Mukasey, who served in the Bush administration, told FNC's Maria Bartiromo on "Sunday Morning Futures" that "we are going to see accountability" for members of the intelligence community who surveilled members of the 2016 Trump campaign ….
2B1. … and suggested Democrats were trying to discredit Attorney General Barr before an investigation can be completed.
2C. "We will find out what happened. We will find out who was responsible for what happened, which I think accounts for a lot of the reasons that people are accusing him, falsely, of making false statements to Congress," Mukasey said about Barr.
2D. "That's an attempt to discredit what he's about to do. But he's not a man easily deterred."

2E. And yet the Democrat-run House Judiciary Committee vote to hold AG Barr in contempt of Congress on Tuesday. Quite a rush in comparison to the MONTHS of negotiations with Eric Holder on releasing Fast and Furious documents before he was held in contempt!
2F. <quote>

“It is deeply disappointing that elected representatives of the American people have chosen to engage in such inappropriate political theatrics,” Ms. Kupec [DoJ spokeswoman] said in a statement.
2G. “Regrettably, Chairman Nadler’s actions have prematurely terminated the accommodation process and forced the President to assert executive privilege to preserve the status quo.”
2H. “No one, including Chairman Nadler and his Committee, will force the Department of Justice to break the law.”

<unquote>

Holding an USAG in contempt for refusing to violate the law would be unprecedented! Read the rest here: washingtontimes.com/news/2019/may/…
3. The next story is that San Fran Nan is worried that @POTUS won’t leave office if he loses a close election in 2020. Sure sounds similar to Hillary Clinton’s continuing refusal to accept defeat in 2016!

<quote>
3A. Win or lose, President Trump will not relinquish power unless he’s crushed in the 2020 election, according to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
3B. “We have to inoculate against that,” Pelosi told the New York Times. "We have to be prepared for that.”

4. Next, Spartacus and others claim that Obama deserves credit for the Trump economy, but they can’t explain why (mainly because they’re clueless socialists who are ignorant about the effects of high taxes and regulations on economic growth):
dailycaller.com/2019/05/05/klo…
5. Larry Kudlow, Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors, disputed those claims:

<quote>
5A. National Economic Council Director Larry Kudlow denounced Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., Sunday after the 2020 White House candidate said President Trump was "taking credit for a recovery that started under [former President Barack] Obama."
5B. "What Mr. Booker and some others are saying is simply not true factually," Kudlow told Fox News' "America's News HQ".
5C. “The economy is going great guns and POTUS' [Trump's] policies, to be perfectly honest, his policies to rebuild this economy have entered us into a tremendous prosperity cycle. And I don't see any end to it right now."

6. Next up: Hamas, Israel, Iran tensions.

<quote>

The US deployed an aircraft carrier strike group and a bomber task force to the Middle East in response to "clear indications" Iran and Iranian proxies were planning an attack on U.S. forces in the region, U.S. officials said.
6A. … the White House made the surprise announcement that the USS Abraham Lincoln and a bomber task force were being deployed in response to unspecified "troubling and escalatory indications and warnings."

6B. Despite being unprovoked, Hamas launched rockets into Israel, and Israel responded in full measure although the Hamas-influenced legacy media never seem to get the story right.

<quote>
6C. Some 700 rockets have been fired at Israel from the Gaza Strip since the security situation escalated over the weekend. The Iron Dome intercepted 173 rockets…

7. Then there is the great news that there are 1.2 million more job openings in the US than people on unemployment!

<quote>
7A. While others mined the report for how groups of Americans are benefiting in the economic surge, Trump has noted that there are now more job openings than those in unemployment lines.
7B. The Labor Department reported that just 5.8 million are on unemployment. By comparison, there are over 7 million job openings.

8. More good news: Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin refused to turn over POTUS’s tax records to a House committee as Democrats continue their investigations into all things Trump in preparation for their inevitable impeachment vote:

<quote>
8A. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, in a letter Monday, denied House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard Neal's request for President Trump's tax returns, saying the request lacked a “legitimate legislative purpose.”
8B. “As you have recognized, the Committee’s request is unprecedented, and it presents serious constitutional questions, the resolution of which may have lasting consequences for all taxpayers,” the letter read.
8C. Mnuchin told the Massachusetts Democrat he'd relied on the advice of the Justice Department. He concluded that the department was “not authorized to disclose the requested returns and return information.”

9. POTUS pardoned a former Army ranger convicted of murder (a warfighter in difficult circumstances; compare to Obama commuting Bradley Manning’s sentence). Read about it here: armytimes.com/news/your-army…
10. Next White House exerts executive privilege on refusing to let former counsel Don McGahn respond to a House subpoena, and I love it! After two years of total cooperation with Mueller’s goon squad, he’s finally on the counter-attack because he was exonerated!
10A. And again, compare Trump’s openness with Obama’s frequent claims of executive privilege, e.g., regarding the Fast and Furious debacle then ended up with Eric Holder becoming the first AG cited fdor contempt of Congress for withholding documents.
foxnews.com/politics/white…
11. More good news! Former FBI director James Comey’s is in deep kimche as a result of AG Barr’s recent statements, and Comey knows it, as evinced by his pubic strategy of late. And I love it!

<quote>
11A. Comey has realized, probably too late, that he has to try to counter, more directly, the narrative being set by the unsparing attorney general whose words in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee last week landed in the Trump-opposition world like holy water on Linda Blair
11B. Shrieking heads haven’t stopped spinning since. And so we’ve seen Comey get real busy lately. First he penned a curious op-ed in The New York Times.
11C. Then a Times reporter, with whom Comey has cooperated in the past, wrote a news article exposing an early, controversial investigative technique against the Trump campaign in an attempt to get out front and excuse it.
11D. Next, Comey is scheduled to be encouraged on a friendly cable news “town hall.”
11E. James Comey is right to be apprehensive. He himself ate away at the soul of the FBI, not in small bites but in dangerously large ones. It was a dinner for one, though: His actions are not indicative of the real FBI.

<unquote>

11F. Then Former FBI Ass’t Director for Intelligence Kevin Brock appeared on FNC and stated in agreement that Comey is in trouble. He was that counter-intelligence ops are normally not run from the 7th floor of FBI HQ.
11G. He also stated that Trump should have been warned about the operation, as would have any other presidential candidate been warned (a “defensive briefing”).
11H. Finally, he stated that there was no predicate to spy on the Trump people according to the Mueller report.

12. Next is a Rasmussen poll that shows that 57% of Democrats think Trump is a guilty of treason! This goes to show you that most Democrats appear to be liberal cocoon-dwellers who get their news and information exclusively from #FAKENEWS sources.

<quote>
12A. Fifty-seven percent (57%) of Democrats believe that, in his relations with the Russian government, President Trump is guilty of treason. A ScottRasmussen.com national survey found that just 14% of those in Nancy Pelosi’s party disagree while 29% are not sure.
12B. Republicans reject the notion that the president is guilty of treason by an 82% to 7% margin. Among Independent voters, 30% believe he has committed treason while 44% disagree and 25% are not sure.

12C. Now would be a good time to invest in companies specializing in psychiatry and therapy, as a lot of Democrats are going to need it after the OIG report and AG Barr’s report on the predicate for the FISA warrants are released!
13. The next item is a bombshell: John Solomon reported that Christopher Steele admitted to a State Dept official that he needed to get the dossier out “before the 2018 election.” In short, the this is an admission that the dossier was entirely political.
13A. Solomon stated that the FBI’s sworn story to a federal court about its asset, Chris Steele, is “fraying faster than a $5 souvenir T-shirt bought at a tourist trap,” & that the State Dept confirmed that at least some of the dossier was fake before it went public!

<quote>
13B. Newly unearthed memos show a high-ranking government official who met with Steele in October 2016 determined some of the Donald Trump dirt that Steele was simultaneously digging up for the FBI and for Hillary Clinton’s campaign was inaccurate, and likely leaked to the media.
13C. The concerns were flagged in a typed memo and in handwritten notes taken by Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Kathleen Kavalec on Oct. 11, 2016.
13D. Her observations were recorded exactly 10 days before the FBI used Steele and his infamous dossier to justify securing a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant to spy on Trump campaign adviser Carter Page ….
13D1. … and the campaign’s contacts with Russia in search of a now debunked collusion theory.

<unquote>

Read the rest here: thehill.com/opinion/white-…
14. And then we find out that Joe DiGenova and Victoria Toensing revealed that the DoJ inspector general has already concluded that the last three of four FISA warrants were illegally obtained!

15. How about this nugget? There is a high probability that Fusion GPS and Christopher Steele worked on Mueller report itself!

<quote>
15A. Special Counsel Robert Mueller spent more than $732,000 on outside contractors, including private investigators and researchers, records show, but his office refuses to say who they were.
15B. While it’s not unusual for special government offices to outsource for services such as computer support, Mueller also hired contractors to compile “investigative reports” and other “information."
15C. The arrangement has led congressional investigators, government watchdog groups and others to speculate that the private investigators and researchers who worked for the special counsel’s office might have included Christopher Steele and Fusion GPS, ….
15C1. … the private research firm that hired Steele to produce the Russia collusion dossier for the Clinton campaign.
15D. They suspect the dossier creators may have been involved in Mueller’s operation – and even had a hand in his final report – because the special counsel sent his team to London to meet with Steele within a few months of taking over the Russia collusion investigation in 2017.
15E. Also, Mueller’s lead prosecutor, Andrew Weissmann, had shared information he received from Fusion with the media.

16. Finally, there was the Democrat/legacy media uproar after Rudy Giuliani announced and then later canceled a proposed trip to the Ukraine to investigation Biden family corruption!
16A. LMAO, as Giuliani almost certainly was trolling the Democrat front-runner and his media sycophants. Read all about iti here: thehill.com/homenews/admin…
17. So there you have it, folks – a pretty busy week filled with good Trumpian news and not so good news for the miserable Democrats! The preparation of the battlespace for coming indictments continues as the first stage of the counter-attack.
18. And then there was the breaking news on Maria Bartiromo’s show today that the DoJ OIG report will address the MEDIA’s involvement in the Russia hoax and how they were complicit! Good times, folks, good times. Have a great week! ///The end.
