1/10 Obviously I'm not in Brussels today for the @BelgianBara meeting so I thought I would do a quick intro to periop #POCUS for lung & ultrasound to accompany the lecture #BARA2020
2/10 So why should we all embrace lung #pocus - first off it's relatively easy to learn - after 25-30 scans learner accuracy has been shown to reach up to 93% (Arbelot et al) #BARA2020

3/10 It may actually be better at "ruling in or out" pathology at the bedside than more traditional diagnostic methods including Chest Xray, auscultation & BNP #BARA2020

Really enjoyed the @CAGUK1 annual meeting yesterday with presentations on a wide range of pertinent topics such as prehabilitation, ward based extended care & @GM_ERAS_PLUS from great speakers incl @traumagasdoc @mysurgeryandme @SujeshBansal @Tanaesthesia
As part of my presentation on "How to use data to improve your #ERAS protocol" I posed some @Slidoapp questions to the audience and thought I'd share the results here for those who weren't able to stay to the end Image
