My marriage testimony is that I achieved my “I only want to have sex with one man” dream.

In the beginning, it wasn’t about getting married as a virgin, or fornication. It was a decision I made as a young girl even before knowing Jesus.

But now that I look back, I am thankful. I made an unconscious decision and it came out just as I wanted.
Not like I didn’t tempt myself😂
I had near “omg” moments but I THANK GOD! That I had boyfriends...

that understood CONSENT! I had “boyfriends” that actually STOPPED when I said NO. 😭

I also didnt have any family member that assaulted me.
Really, I thank God!

Its easy for virgins to just come and share their stories about how “they waited” but the fact is some of us were just blessed.

I’m not saying I didn’t have a waiting period or endorsing bad behavior I’m just saying, some people had it tougher than some of us did.

While I recognise that some of us USE OUR OWN HAND TO DO OURSELVES 😂 I also know some people couldn’t help it and it’s not easy to stay purified in this generation.

I’m sharing this because:
1. I want the young women who are virgins out there to know they are not alone.

There are others like you, keeping themselves so don’t let the pressure get to you. I just got married at 25. So I was a 25 yo virgin at a point! You can do it and even if you’re older.

Dont allow any man make you give consent without ACTUALLY wanting to. You can do it QUEEN. I did it. Dont feel intimidated or feel like everyone else is “doing” it.

It is not easy to stay pure. I made many unwise decisions, did many “things” lol despite not having the actual sex

...so I always felt I didn’t deserve to talk about it. But the fact is I do. I had MANY TEMPTATIONS...

Its easy for virgins to share their stories as if its easy in this generation 😂
I’m not here to say “how I did it”.

All I’ll say is, try NOT to tempt yourself. Flee!
You might not be lucky. Its not easy but you CAN do it.

2. I learnt LATE that purity is not equal to virginity. Some virgins do everything else and say “so far we don’t penetrate” but they be doing every other thing🌚

I did it too. No judgement.

But what I’m saying is, if you were sexually active but you’re ready to
stay pure (in all aspects of your body) now because you know better, you’re actually better than those out there who are “virgins” but be doing “every other thing”
And I’m here rooting for you. ❤️

3. We need stop making it look like virginity is all there is to a woman...

I remember the shock my premarital counselor had when she asked me how many sexual partners I’ve had... She started hailing me saying “Wow I didnt think you’d be. I thought you were one bad “used” girl”

USED ?!

a)Wait so if I have had previous sexual partners in the past nko? 🤔 Would she have treated me differently? 🌚

b) I also don’t understand people who say “Are there still virgins in this generation?”

YES THERE ARE! 🙄

But let’s stop “over hyping” it.

Lastly.. Virginity and purity talk is for both male and female.

I remember telling my brother about virginity and how beautiful it would be for him to sleep with only one woman his wife. Do you know my mother laughed and asked me how I expected him to be a virgin. 🌚
I was like mummy.. but you want your daughters to be virgins 🌚

I’ve actually heard virgin girls say, they dont want a virgin man. And I’m like 🤔

I’m going to teach my daughters and SONS about virginity and purity. Lets stop dishing out an imbalance teaching.

Do you know, this same premarital counselor had a different disposition when my husband shared his sexual status. Because he’s a “man”
Smh.

That is the end of my story. 😂

Moral is, whether you’re a virgin or not, male or female, stay pure ❤️

Whatever your sexual journey is, as a believer you have bn given the power to SAY NO and choose not be slave to your emotions.

I want you to know Jesus does not hold your past against you. No matter what you’ve done and where you’ve bn in your sexual life. Whether you are an impure virgin, lol, or a non-virgin(if there’s a word like that).

It doesn’t matter to him. In Christ you’re a new creation.

Okay, lastly lastly.
For all the actual virgins out there. Stay strong you’ve come this far ❤️
