Usually I share positive stories about Lambda School. Today one broke my heart.

A student got three "nos" in his first interviews (with great companies), gave up, quit coding, and became a truck driver.

He was *inches* away. I'll always wonder what more we could have done.

It's difficult to understand what happens psychologically when frustration and imposter syndrome combine. I've been there.

He loved coding. He was good at it.

I think everyone outside of Lambda underestimates how difficult a transition like the ones we see are. Socially, emotionally, psychologically, not to mention technically, financially.

It's just a really, really difficult thing to do.
