people think that fascism arrives in fancy dress

Fascism arrives as your friend.
It will restore your honour,

remind you of how great you once were,
clear out the venal and the corrupt,
remove anything you feel is unlike you...

It doesn't walk in saying,
"Our programme means militias, mass imprisonments, transportations, war and persecution."

[I didn't name a fascist party, a mass-murdering leader, or even a country in the above tweets, but a group of BJP supporters from India clearly felt targeted, and responded defensively ... by defending fascism and even Nazism and saying they weren't so bad after all].
