Day 3: so after a good nights sleep we readied ourselves for the day and set off for a nice breakfast and then more sightseeing.
First stop was Bills, a local place that serves good food all day long. Lots of it farm-to-table type dishes to alongside the homemade jams.
Instead of my usual coffee I opted for some English Breakfast tea and avocado toast. YUM!!
This a short walk to the Oxford Natual History Museum.
As one would expect there are a ton of dinosaurs in here.
And other skeletons, these are of a blue fin tuna, an orca, and a dolphin.
My son is a huge fan of these types of museums and had this place picked out a couple of years ago as one of the places in the world he wanted to see. Dream come true for sure.
Some more views from the second level.
After the museum we walked back toward the University Church, passed by the Bridge of Sighs, on of the bigger college quads, and beautifully decorated gate.
Our time at the university on Day 3 ended with a tour of the Bodleian Library. It’s roots date back to the early 1300’s while it’s founder established the library in the early 1600’s. Check out this link: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bodleian_…
Once inside you are by and large not allow to take pictures. They only allow photos to be taken in the old School of Divinity.
Outside the walls of this library, during the English Reformation, Protestant and Catholic teachers at Oxford we’re burned at the stake.
Day 3 ended with a nice Italian supper and back to our flat.
